Or the section you are looking for:
Set up SMS and MMS messaging
Use this feature with any Mac, iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch that meets the Continuity system requirements. Make sure that your devices are set up as follows:

  • Each device is signed in to iCloud with the same Apple ID.
  • On iPhone, go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive. Make sure that the Apple ID at the top of the screen is the same Apple ID that you're using for iMessage on your other devices. Add a check to your phone number and email address, so that you can be reached by iMessage at both. Do the same on your iPad or iPod touch.
  • On iPhone, go to Settings > Messages > Text Message Forwarding, then choose which devices to allow to send and receive text messages from this iPhone. If you're not using two-factor authentication for your Apple ID, a verification code appears on each of your other devices: enter that code on your iPhone.
  • On Mac, open Messages, then choose Messages > Preferences. Click Accounts, then select your iMessage account. Make sure that the Apple ID shown here is the same Apple ID that you're using on your other devices. Add a check to your phone number and email address.

What Wifi/BT card do you have on your hackintosh machine, remember that your card must support BT/Handsoff capability such as BCM94352Z as M2/NGFF or BCM94352HMB as Mini PCI-E.

If you do have one of these cards make sure you have enabled the patch on Kernel and Kext Patches section:

Please refer to Toleda`s Guide - Airport: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-airport-pcie-half-mini-v2.104850/

or in short word add his patch:

Step 3a/Handoff (WiFi and/or BT Enabled, 94352, see Step 3b)

Handoff

.............

i have an original iMac wifi+BT card with an adapter, BCM94360CD and work out of the box

My colleague does have a MacBook Pro 8.2 which he never ever uses any apple services and for any other reason but just for Virtual Dj,he works as a DJ as a second job at 2 nights per week and thats it,he has another windows laptop for daily uses but he purchased the MacBook just for the more premium look when he makes music.
I told him about the consequences and he said take whatever you want from it since i will never use iMessage or any other service from it.
I just made a dump and only used his MLB and Rom and generated a pair of new serial & UUID for each of my laptop and put the mlb and rom from his dump.
Did that on both of my laptops and iMessage and FaceTime finally working on both of my laptops,i stopped using macos on my Lenovo B570e and installed Windows since i don't need 2 laptops with same os and its older,im using macos only on my ThinkPad L440 and iMessage and FaceTime working perfect.
I can config that using only an MLB and ROM form a real mac works for making iMessage accept any appleids, the old and new ones.
Tonight I will try using only ROM number and see what happens.
Thanks Sniki!

Glad you got it sorted out.

Im curious to know if it Works with injecting only the ROM from a real mac and generate your own MLB, so if it does we have to sort out a new generator for Rom`s and maybe everyone can have iMessage working or if it doesn`t work without MLB then someone has to update the generators so they have a proper matching with each other (rom & mlb)

I just built a new hackintosh. I am able to log into iMessage just fine. The problem is when I try to send a message to someone it says they are not registered with iMessage. If I sign out of Messages on my iPhone and sign back in, my Mac gets an alert that I did it, so that part is communicating.

Since I can already sign into Messages, is there one thing more likely to fix it than another? Specs below:

i7-6700
Gigabyte Z170N-Wifi (using Airport card instead of OEM card)
16GB RAM
525GB SSD
1050 Ti 4GB
Installed with Clover and Multibeast
Ethernet is en0 (using wifi, tho)

Thanks,

This is just slight sync problem between your iPhone and Hack - to overcome the issue, you need to sign both devices out of iCloud wait a few minutes and then sign the iPhone back into iCloud first and then your hack which will then lead you into the setup process and the problem will be solve.

Before seeing your reply I said "screw it," and went through all the instructions in the first post. Everything is working now.
