What do I do if I called Apple and they removed the block on my Apple ID, but I'm still getting the same "call support with this Customer Code" error? Same Customer Code, too. :|

I ran through the iDiot's guide, and at the end got the "call Apple" error. So I called them, it went simply enough, and they said they'd removed the block (which seems legit, since after ALL my other Apple devices pinged to say they were using iMessage again). But this guy still throws the same error.

Should I re-run through the iDiot's guide (obviously using my same, generated SN)? Do I try with a new one (that seems like a potentially bad idea)? I haven't found anything online that talks about getting through the call and still being stuck.

If they informed you that they removed the block, then sometimes it can take a while for the machine to be registered on the servers and other times the result can be instant. At this point don't change anything, just double check your injected values are as per the Guide and lastly insure you check the 'Trust' box in the Clover Configurator tab, save to your config.plist and reboot.

Thanks for the response; turns out there's some major block on my Apple ID for (legitimately, amusingly enough) having iMessage on too many devices. Support is currently looking into it (and iMessage works fine with my wife's Apple ID, so the Hack is set up fine), but yeah, looks like it'll take a few days.

ALL of the following is regarding the thread https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/an-idiots-guide-to-imessage.196827/page-37#post-1500419 , since it seems support questions are redirected here.

Are this (check attachments) the exact files I need to delete for step 1? Just double checking as there are not the literal exact name as you state in your guide. I mean for example I don't have any file that begins with "com.apple.ids.service" as stated on that guide but I do have "com.apple.ids.subservices" and "com.apple.identityservicesd".

Couple of questions:
1) An idiots guide to iMessage should work on Sierra 10.12.4, right?

2) On the GitHub page of SimpleMLB.sh it says "DEPRECATED - Use https://github.com/theracermaster/MacGen instead", should we pay any attention to that or just ignore it and use the one you provided?

3) Should I perform the guide on this thread or the one on https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/an-idiots-guide-to-imessage.196827/page-37#post-1500419 ?

Thanks.

I am so far from being an expert on hacks, like you I am learning every day. As for wanting all the attention, you are so far from the the truth, I merely try to convey what worked and still works for me and hopefully try to help other members who are under no obligation to take up any advice or tips offered up by me. At the moment I am running two hacks, one for my every day use and the other for my own testing purposes before I commit any new updates to my every day system.

I am sorry if you felt my post was harsh and I do understand English is not your first language, but understand, Apple is so security conscious today that its like going to the bank and asking for a million dollar loan. Creating multiple Apple ID's just for the purpose of testing is potentially inviting Apple to flag ones machine or IP address (have a read of a members post a couple of posts back and see the reason why Apple flagged his machine).

A member asked me to test another Apple ID to see if the logon would be successful on my hacks and I opted to test my wife's which is a lot newer than mine. The test proved a bit long winded because of the Two Step Verification security setup and had to be verified on her iPad or iPhone but she was abled to logon and send a message to my iPhone.
I wish you well with all your tests and hope you have success with your hackintosh endeavours.

Followed @P1LGRIM guide to the letter and it didn't work unfortunately, on Sierra 10.12.4. Thoughts?

To make it simple try this:
Open your config.plist in Clover Configurator.
Go to SMBIOS section.
Copy Serial Number to Board Serial Number and ad 5 random letters to the end of It
Eg KURBX. (don´t use this just 5 random capital letters)
Then open Terminal and type uuidgen and pres Enter
Do that 5 - 10 times.
(copy/paste uuidgen press enter/backspace)
Copy one of the last generated to SmUUID in Clover Configurator SMBIOS section
And save your config.plist

This method has worked for me more than 5 years and never failed

It´s a great guide P1LGRIM´s made but sometimes to much info just distracts you

I even made a video doing exactly that for you to see and it's still not working.

Check --- https://vid.me/1Yte

This is driving me nuts, tried the guide 3x literally.

In that video I can se that you are using KURBX despite I told you not to (use 5 random capital letters)
Is your current serial generated by Multibeast ?
Try this:
Copy your config.plist to a safe place just in case anything goes wrong.
Then open your config.list in Clover Configurator
Go to SMBIOS section and use the "magic wand"
Skærmbillede 2017-05-11 kl. 13.24.47.png

to generare a new iMac 14,2 serial.
Remember to press the 2 "Shake" bars in right row 3-5 times each.
then try again with the new serial. But don´t use KURBX

Security advice
Don´t publicize your serial info !!!

I have followed the idiots guide and on setting up iCloud it immediately locked my Apple ID on all my genuine devices. Rather worrying but I have managed to unlock them as I had all my recovery keys etc.

I have created a new @icloud.com account and have re-done the guide (new numbers all round) and signed into iCloud, which appears to work. Next step will be to test iMessage. I didn't do anything differently, except had different random numbers?!

My question, is if one account can login fine (e.g. my throwaway test account) can all accounts (e.g. my proper account). I have a lot of Photo in iCloud photo library etc, so being locked out would be bad.

This is my first hackintosh and I have done a lot of reading, although I must admit I have not read all 600+ pages of this thread. Any advice appreciated.

My colleague does have a MacBook Pro 8.2 which he never ever uses any apple services and for any other reason but just for Virtual Dj,he works as a DJ as a second job at 2 nights per week and thats it,he has another windows laptop for daily uses but he purchased the MacBook just for the more premium look when he makes music.
I told him about the consequences and he said take whatever you want from it since i will never use iMessage or any other service from it.
I just made a dump and only used his MLB and Rom and generated a pair of new serial & UUID for each of my laptop and put the mlb and rom from his dump.
Did that on both of my laptops and iMessage and FaceTime finally working on both of my laptops,i stopped using macos on my Lenovo B570e and installed Windows since i don't need 2 laptops with same os and its older,im using macos only on my ThinkPad L440 and iMessage and FaceTime working perfect.
