@jaymonkey Hey, thanks for your help in this thread. I had to use it before to get my iMessages going. I have GA-Z77X-UP5-TH - i7 3770 - GeForce GTX 670 for my system, and it seems to be what you have. I am now getting the "call apple support" with error code. So I wanted to get everything perfect (which I thought I had because it worked so long without problems until recent again).

Should I install Clover (Little worried on doing this)? Which SMBIOS Desktop System Type Should I use? I haven't updated to 10.9.5 yet, should I?

Sorry, I tried PM'ing you to get maybe more detailed instructions but I don't have 75 posts yet so I couldn't. Thanks for any help.

@ jaymonkey .... hello I change my serial number, but the number of MLB and ROM remains the same I think it is unique and true random depending on the computer even if I changed the serial number iMessage still works I think the authorization that gives apple and when the name is based solely on the MLB and ROM

@Gerard71,

Thats not the way it works, each time you change any ID (or non permanent ROM & MLB), it essentially is a different personality (or device) when seen by Apples System, each combination of MLB, ROM, S/N & UUID count as another device against your wan IP, once you hit a certain number of different personalities (or devices) then it will trigger the contact Apple alert with a Customer Code. There is no way to stop this. Even real Apple device will count towards the total such as iPhone, MAC, iPad .. etc.

Cheers
Jay

@MaDxCrEaM,

I use iMac 13,2 but i don't use thunderbolt .... if you do try iMac 14,2. Installing clover on UD5 is easy, and resolves all issues with SId bug and ROM, MLB .. etc, you should be able to keep all your custom kexts and everything, just install the boot-loader.

If you haven't read the guide for a while then it maybe worth reading it again, i've recently added a lot more info on using Clover and streamlined, simplifies many of the steps in both parts of the guid the last week.

Cheers

Okay, installed Clover on USB to boot up. Got it working, using iMac 13,2. Did the clover configurator option to generate 13,2 and serial number. Should I be safe now to call Apple with code? And everything should stay the same if I boot up with the USB each time so I don't get locked out again? And if it seems to be working alright, is it easy to install on my HD and push over my config files from USB to the HD? Thanks.

I`m having the same problem logging in to IMessage but iCloud and Appstore are working fine.
I used my Hackintosh for a couple of month without any trouble but suddenly i was locked out.
I have also a official MBP(early 2011) on this device its working fine!!
I reinstalled System, called apple care and no solution!!
Im connected to the internet over Wifi (Wn881ND) its´s en0
NVRam1.1.3 is installed with the latest version of Chameleon
Please Help;)

I just want to confirm that I was able to get everything working by calling apple and providing them With the error code. it took less Then 3 mins .

Okay, so I called and got past the error code. But now I'm getting the dreaded "user is not registered with imessages". I'm booting with Clover. Anyone have any idea why?

@MaDxCrEaM,

Mount your OSX Startup drives EFI Partition (SSD or HDD) and format as Fat32, Install clover using standalone installer on to the EFI Partition, copy the config.plist from your USB/EFI/Clover folder and copy to your start up drives EFI Partition /EFI/Clover. Reboot and set BIOS Boot drive to UEFI Startup Drive Save BIOS/Reboot and load OSX, if all hardware is working ok run iMessage Debug a few times to make sure everything is persistent, suggest also trying a cold boot.

I always use Clover Configurator and set all the Systems ID's such as the MLB & ROM to the values you get via iMessage Debug (along with all other important ID's (SmUUID .. etc) that way you can save the config.plist somewhere safe and use it in the future on a re-install and all your ID's will be the same as before ... woks great.

I never bother with a USB these days for Clover, I install OSX via Unibeast then install Clover as the boot loader and configure it using Clover Configurator, I detailed the method i use in Post #1272 which is the simplest way to install Clover (IMO).

Once your happy that everything looks ok, then call Apple with the customer code. if you've already called then you should be ok as long as all the ID's remain the same.

Cheers
Jay

I got logged out of iMessage one day and upon logging in I got the code to call Apple with. I called Apple for my real MBP S/N and they fixed it. A week later I got logged out of iMessage again with the same code to call Apple with. I verified with iMessage_debug that none of my values are changing upon reboot and they all seem like valid numbers. I am also booting with Clover. So, I called Apple again giving them the S/N of my MBP and again they fix it. About a week later... you see where this is going? Logged out of iMessage and was given the same code, again, to call Apple with. Anyone run into this or have a solution to this?

@tool667,

Unless Apple have changed something over the weekend then the only way to get the iMessage Alert to contact Apple with a customer code is if you have a 'high-volume' of Apple Devices associated with your WAN IP. It can be iPhone's, iPad's, MAC's and of course Hackingtosh systems.

Do you have other Hacks that are on your network, even if you don't you iMessage on them ?
Do you share your network with some who as a Hackingtosh ?

If so it's probable that they are not setup correctly and have non persistent ID Values.

Good Luck
Cheers
Jay
