Hi there, I'm just about to pull the trigger on my first build - a nice CustoMac Pro. Brief specs:
ASUS ROG STRIX Z370-F GAMING
EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 SC GAMING 8GB
Ballistix Sport LT 32GB RAM
Samsung 960 EVO M.2 NVMe PCI-E 500GB
Corsair H60 CPU Cooler
I'm looking for a funky...
Hello everyone, first time builder here and I could use some help. I've built my first CustoMac Pro but my screen is freezing when trying to boot up with my graphics card enabled.
Everything was working pretty well except my EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 SC was only showing 256mb of VRAM. I followed...
I am building a maxed-out Customac Pro with some of the best parts from the buyer's guide.
My build will be mostly for heavy animation work, but also After Effects compositing and video editing.
When it comes to a GPU, I was considering going with the EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti SC2, as it's...
I plan buying the exact same hardware as the CustoMac Pro, but with a GTX 1080 Ti.
Do you think the installation and stability of the system would be more or less guaranteed, because it is on the buyer guide ?
I also plan on using Intel 600P NVMe M.2 SSD.
New here, but have been doing exhaustive research the last several weeks. I'm finally ready to build a high end hackintosh for my resource intensive audio/video work. Here's a list I've compiled based off the Buyer's Guide for August (custo-mac pro), and my own research. I have questions for...
So far we have built two systems (specifications below) and both of them are having the same issue. Running Adobe Premiere Pro CC or Adobe Media Encoder CC under heavy CPU and/or GPU load results in black screens or picture freezes. Sometimes after half an hour, sometimes already after two...
Up and successfully running iMac Pro Broadwell-E/X99 with macOS High Sierra 10.13.6 SU (17G4015)!
Abstract and Introduction:
For nearly one entire year, the former Broadwell-E/EP, Hasell-E/EP, X99, macOS High Sierra 10.13 Desktop Guide was the logical continuation of my Broadwell-E/EP...
Hey guys, I am considering to get started with Hackintosh.
What it´s needed for
I am a student and working 80% of my time with the adobe cc series. Also doing Webdesign - Web development. Despite of that I am browsing a lot, using the Retina and a AOC I2757F Monitor. But I want to replace that...
I'm currently planning my first-ever hackintosh build: a CustoMac Pro with these main components, straight from the January Buying Guide:
Gigabyte GA-Z170X-UD3 Ultra
Corsair H60 (Water)
EVGA GTX 960 Super Clocked
Crucial Ballistix Sport LT (16GB) (for now :3)
2 x Samsung 850 EVO...
New builder here, trying to follow multiple guides to create a customac pro. I'm stuck though on the first steps, I can't get the mac installer to work! I've tried nearly everything I could find, but nothing is able to get me past the error "Mac OS is unavailable on your platform" (just...
So, I got a hot tip from some friends the other day about a possible pricing error at Dell.com on a 250 GB 2.5 inch SATA III Western Digital SSD (WDS250G1BOA). It is normally $80-90, but for some reason was only $20. I quickly snapped it up, but instead of buying 2 (what I planned to buy for my...
Being frustrated about the present Customac Pro hardware configuration proposed by Tonymacx's Buyer's guide, I decided to go for a new Customac Pro Build based on the Broadwell-E CPU, X99 chip-set and LGA2011-v3 socket with Mac OS Sierra beating records, running like hell, behaving absolutely...
So I wanted a pro hackintosh, using the buyers guide I selected all the recommended components
Gigabyte GA-Z170X-UD3 (Latest F20 BIOS)
Followed the guide to the letter including the BIOS setting.
But no joy the installation fails after about 5 mins.
Strangely it does see...
Long time follow of Tonymac, first time posting! This is my very first Hackintosh, so I'm still green when it comes to troubleshooting things.
I've posted by build in my signature. I'm trying to install OS Sierra on a recommended build for the CustoMac Pro. I'm stuck at the Apple...
Once in a while when I am away from the Mac, it goes on a deep sleep and none of the key presses or mouse clicks will wake it up. The only option I have is a force restart which is not ideal. Is this a known problem or can I fix it? I was thinking about setting up screensaver.
I am a programmer and comfortable with messing with hardware. I am building my first Hackintosh workstation and would like it to be very stable (I don't mind waiting months for new OS updates).
So should I stick to exactly what is mentioned in the November guide for a CustoMac Pro?
Just like I stated in my previous post, I am just following the build stuff for customac pro. I am not a hardware guy so I don't know the significance of PSU especially in that build. In the list only one PSU is listed which is the Corsair 650x. I am thinking the higher voltage is just...
So I am just trying to follow the list to build the hackintosh but I am unable to find a graphics card on that list that is actually available. They all seem to be out of stock or just price gouged on amazon. What is the best value (performance) that I can use?
Newbie and his son here. Thought it would be a fun educational project to build a Hackintosh with the boy. He's getting into Video editing and Im huge with Photoshop. Pretty sure what we're building is Over Kill at the moment for what we need but you can never have to much especially when you're...
