Newbie and his son here. Thought it would be a fun educational project to build a Hackintosh with the boy. He's getting into Video editing and Im huge with Photoshop. Pretty sure what we're building is Over Kill at the moment for what we need but you can never have to much especially when you're not sure what you'll need... To avoid some trouble I'm pretty much sticking to the CustoMac PRO shopping list:

Gigabyte GA-Z170X-UD5 TH
OR
Gigabyte GA-Z170X-Gaming 5

Core i7-6700K
Corsair H60 (Water)
Crucial Ballistix Sport LT (32GB)
Seagate Barracuda 1TB
Corsair RM 650 Watt
Gigabyte GTX 950

Corsair Carbide 300R
TP-Link PCI Express Wifi Adapter (N)

with some 4k monitor

Any and all input is appreciated. on the fence about mother boards
also think we'll run into any trouble with editing / adobe programs like Photo Shop ????

thanks everyone.

You want a fast video editing/Photoshop machine? Do yourself a favor and put an SSD in there! Other than that (which I hope is just an oversight), it looks like a good setup.

Either motherboard should be fine.
