How to Fix iMessage

Tried to run iMessage Debug on my MacBook1,1 (1,83Gz Core Duo Snow Leopard). I'm getting a "Bad Cpu Type" error.
Is it incompatible with this Mac and can I use this mac's values at all?

I ran into the same problem had to install mavericks via usb. I think its only compatible with mountain lion and higher

Yeah, looks like that's the issue. Is there any other way to get to those required numbers? Unfortunately snow leopard is the latest working is on this Mac...

Ok, I've done everything in this guide twice, including converting to clover and I'm still having problems.

Here's a few questions.
1. Is my generated MLB board serial number supposed to have an equals "=" sign in it like below?
2. Is clover configurator supposed to display a MLB from the system?
3. What happens when I leave the MLB blank in clover with a newly generated Smuuid? is this ok? (this is how I'm getting the equals sign in the MLB)
4. If any iMessage account I create and use has a problem does that definitely point to my computer, or has apple somehow banned my ip address?
5. How do I get a new BoardSerialNumber that doesn't have a weird equals sign in it?

you can try DarwinDumper not sure if it works with sl but you can give it a try

Hello- I created my own MLB and used my Mac address as my ROM. I tried logging into iMessage and received a message to call Apple support to activate. I know at some point this was recommended but not sure if it wil work any longer. Any suggestions if calling will fix my actication issues?

As a side note, my genuine MacBook is working after a week of rest.

I can't even get this far.

I have a custom generated smuuid. A rom from my mac address, a board serial number with a randomized extra five digits, and rebooting keeps the values in nvram just fine.

But it still says failed to activate.

You just need to wait. You are banned on apple servers for a random unknown amount of days. After that random amount of days have passed, your Macbook Pro's iMessages will work again.
You can just call Apple too if you want your iMessages to work right now, but only if you are sure that you removed all the cloned values from your hack.

What part of YOU exactly is banned on apple's servers?

Is your uuid banned? Then why can't we just inject a new smuuid?

Is your WAN ip banned? Then why can't we just go to another wan IP?

Is your apple ID banned? Then why can't we just create a new one?


I've tried creating a new apple id, on a new wan, after making sure that I'm on a fresh clover install with constant rom / mlb and and a brand new smuuid with a mac generated rom.

And even though it logs in for a split second, it then fails and kicks me back out.

@ydp, thanks for your reply. For now, my suspicions of the smUUID are shifted more toward it being used as a means to track the ban, as transferring a banned smUUID from a MBA induced similar behavior in my hack.

No problem. I'll help in any way I can. It sucks to not have it working, which is why I switched to using my MBP values.

This is the part we don't know. No one has had generated values working since 2015 that I'm aware of. Most of us have switched to some cocktail of MLB, ROM, and SmUUID. And most of those people have been locked out.

I'm one of the lucky ones this round. I switched to Clover to get it all working with generated values (which had just stopped working for me). I was never able to get generated numbers working in Clover. And I had the same issues you're having. So that's kind of the norm now. I think you might've missed something in there. Take a look at the posts from December when everyone called Apple to get unblocked and it never worked.
