iMessage working with my current settings - will a backup of /Extra help with Yosemite?

Hi guys,

My current installation (10.9.5) works with iMessage just fine. I am using chimera and I have an /Extra folder with Filenvram etc.. Will that same folder work in Yosemite? What should I do to retain all my current Hackintosh ID in the new installation?

Thank you for all your hard work.

BR,
F

To be honest, I really don't know I Haven't tried it yet... I'm still making some tests as soon as I make a backup of my Yosemite drive I'll give it a try

I tried clover, can't even boot with it, even though I did best to make config perfect with clover configurator. Guess it's about waitingg or updated nvram file that may never come for 10.10. The reason I never switched to clover before was how much of a pain in ass it is to setup. Chameleon is basically install and good to go, glover is install and spend several hours hoping to find the magic combination of settings that actually work :\ Right off the bat just opening configurator it's confusing. 3 config files right off the bat? NO idea which to edit, so configured all 3 of them the same.

Quick update for everyone: I successfully installed Yosemite with Clover (thanks to Tony's guide, awesome work, thanks!) and used my previous saved SmUUID, ROM & MLB values. I only had to override the ROM value (in Rt Variables tab) since it was not part of the SmUUID (Clover is taking the last digits of SmUUID to build your ROM value).

iMessage, iCloud and Facetime OK!

Thanks a lot guys!

FileNVRAM isn't working in Yosemite as of yet it needs to be update soon as FileNVRAM is updated then iMessage will work
