How to extend the iMac Pro to X99 [Successful Build/Extended Guide]

May be hardware side, do you have windows on your sistem to check this behavior? Or may, just may be something regarding RTC, check AppleRTC in clover configurator Kext and Kernel Patches. I only had once problems with RTC more exactly I lost my bios settings, but that only once happened and idk the exact reason (may also was hardware side issue). Random reboots happen on bad configured hackintosh, but random shutdows unheard...

PS: Regarding my deleted post, I didn’t want to break any of this amazing forum rules, it was a typo, istead of pb (public beta) was dp (dev. preview). All the test I run were and are made on public beta 3.

Yes, Sorry, i should have said random reboots. I feel like it has something to do with CUDA as I can run ProTools all day which isnt graphics heavy, but once I open Premiere Pro or Davinci Resolve and I have CUDA enables as the Graphics Accelerator it will reboot after a few moments. If I enable METAL or OPENCL it seems to last longer?

I'm completely reaching here though, I dont know where to even begin to look at code for this so I'm constantly trying things.

System goes stuck or reboot when CUDA app is running is a common error. First of all, are you confidently confirm that your hackintosh is stable and relatively flawless if no CUDA app is executing?

Hi KGP may I ask for your help please ? I need an SSDT same Motherboard same wifi an AMD RX560 all in the same place as yours ,The rest of the hardware you have in your SSDT I don t have them.
Unfortunately I don t have the "know how " on how to make my own SSDT.
Any help or advice would be highly appreciated !!!

Hello there!

I also didnt have a single clue on how to implement my PCIe devices using SSDT and ACPI patching. At the time, @kgp kindly refered me to this post, where you will find everything you need datailed step by step to implement your devices yourself.

I know it is quite daunting at first, but once you manage to implement one device, the rest is just logics. Just read carefully. The post I linked you to is also by @kgp, so it has the same style and feel as the guide on this thread, which is cool.

Hope it helps, cheers!

does this look right? not sure why I have letters after @? Im using a 5960x with a evga x99 and gtx1080ti(my graphics are terrible in benchmarks buts thats the next challenge.). thanks!

If you have a 16 core cpu, it is perefect as now implemented.. @ are the populated cores..
its an 8 core. when i run cinebench a few of my cores are only running half speed but temps are low and its not throttling

Sorry my bad, I meant 16 threads of course...;)....

Did you read the recent posts at all?.. No OC under 10.13.6 at least with Broadwell-E and apparently also not with your CPU. If you want higher performance (OC), please change to 10.13.5.

Anyone not able to use the tb3 ssdt patch?

I am on the last bios version for my asus x99 deluxe, 3902, and my bios firmware is definitely patched. I still need KernelXCPM checked in order to enable xcpm. My bios settings are all the same in your tutorial, the only thing is that I have EIST enabled in my bios (It gives me a litte more performance, idk why).

I also know that my firmware is patched cuz without the patching of my bios, 0xE2 is locked.

Bellow are the dumps without and with KernelXCPM checked.

KernelXCPM not checked (not used)

There is definitely more behind KernelXCPM aside using it when bios in not patched, or there is for me and my asus x99 deluxe.

@hoeman You're welcome!

Thank you for backing me up on this. @kgp, as I've respectfully said, I appreciate what you've done for the community, and I even specifically said I meant no offence and was only sharing what I had observed on my build just as what @dMatik observed. You chose to read things the way you did and come down hard on me. All I wanted to do was to share our experiences and hope you could make the amendments to help other users, as I had to stumble through a lot of pages before hitting @dMatik's post that provided the right solution. Granted, I believe this solution only works for Haswell-E and Broadwell-E is still messed up on 10.13.6, but hey, I just wanted to bring greater exposure to this solution as there are still countless others on X99 + Haswell-E (especially given that overclockers generally prefer Haswell-E due to its better overclockability).

Cheers and no bad blood. Again, I really appreciate your guide. To the other user, @lucke77, who clearly has a comprehension problem (read https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...d-extended-guide.227001/page-217#post-1781443 to see this isn't the first time he spoke out of hand without context), just stop. I'm not an idiot. I clearly flashed my bios to unlock the MSR 0xE2 register. Heck, I even used a hardware flasher (ezp xpro - google it) to program the bios chip, so don't come at me with accusations of not following the guide. I followed it to a T.
