    @mikjess : I had the same problem until I switched to the USB 3.1 port on my MB for the install.

    Can anyone help out with this?

    I've since tried booting the recovery partition from my main system drive too - which started to boot much farther - but ended on a couple of lines that might be interesting;

    Code (Text):

    considerRebuildOfPrelinkedKernel com.apple.driver.AppleIntelMCEReporter triggered rebuild
    kextd stall[0], (240s): 'AppleACPICPU'.

    In any case - i'm stuck. Should I go and buy a 3.1 drive even though I get the install mostly complete? Is something else causing the issue?

    Hey, I'm trying to have my nvme drive show as internal. When trying to save the aml file I get the following:

    I believe this is because of the '-' and ',' symbols in my situation.

    So, I've figured out my problem and managed to progress a little further;

    For the EFI setup on my SYSTEM PARTITION - I had to re-enabled KernelPm and the xpcm_idle patch. Once I did this - the system partition booted to complete the install process. I'm not sure why this is, but @kgp this might be worth mentioning. Maybe I missed it in the guide?

    I'm not sure what consequences this will have for me going through the rest of the post install process, but we'll see.

    Thank you for the reply but I am using the USB 3.1 port, with a USB 3.1 drive (paid $$$ for this just for this guide...)

    Could it be the video card? My mobo doesn't have built in video.

    After installing this supplemental update I've started to get random instant wake from sleep and few reboots randomly on boot, machine was stable as rock before the update, didn't change anything except the apfs driver in efi and new webdrivers :(

    I do mention in my guide that in case of problems when booting one should check KernelPM! That now you need also the xpcm_idle patch seems an particular exception I cannot account for... In any case, it has absolutely no consequences for
    going through the rest of the post install process...

    I would skip at least one $ symbol when speaking about the costs of a USB 3.1 Flash Drive, which you can purchase for 10-30$!!!!!!!! :mad::mad::mad::mad::thumbdown

    Do you know what are the costs and temporal efforts for guide development at my side, in order to provide and support you and others with all my know-how during nearly 24/7/364 ? :mad::mad::mad: :thumbdown

    $$$$$ :!::!::!::!:

    Don't make me responsible for your inability to follow my instructions .... If you want to have 100% compatibility with my guide, change your components!

    Thanks, KGP

    Thanks for the reply ,I made an ssdt now the 2696v3 is on the list, also used your ssdt thought will change something but still the same results for some reason in Geekbench the cpu is jumping around is not on constant load like I saw on other systems.
    People on intel power gadget get a flat line mine is all over the place still can't figure out why...but one day I will :))))
