I took the values off my r-mbp which I actively use. I used ROM, MLB, serial, smUUID, and custom UUID. It worked great, though iCloud threw a fit and asked for authorisation again etc. But now everything works as it should and so does on my macbook. Yes, about my mac calls it a macbook but everything else seems correct and speedstep and sleep which I originally struggled to get right didn't break. I think I'm all done with my switch to clover and yosemite.

What did you enter in Custom UUID?

Same here except I used my Air. I was going to spoof a mini but using the definition MacMini only brought up one GPU and one screen. Everything is just as smooth with it thinking it is an Air as it was when it thought it was a MacPro3,1 under Chameleon.

Did you also enter something in Custum UUID if so what value from the Air did you enter?

update..

nvm fixed it.. now working :D thx a lot guys!! but msg still dont sync.. from phone.. but as long as i can read and write it doesn't matter.. :D

Finally got it working!! well sort of .. i have been able to send and receive imessages on yosemite.. however some of my contacts who do have imessage do not show up just YET..(in terms of me being able to send them imessages, the blue speech bubble besdie their names is not yet present).. i guess its updating.. ??

followed the guide 99%...

got the call apple screen, so i called... they unlocked my "hack" and i was able to log into imessage.. however i got the problem of not being aBLE TO receiver messages... the "this user is not registered for imessage" problem... so i re checked everything again..

turns out i did NOT change the MLB of the board.. if left blank, the MLB that the clover bootloader gives is a BLACKLISTED serial...

so you have to change it. missed out on that one! so i simply placed my OS serial number + 5 alpha/numeric digits to make up 17 digits. the 5 can be anything! combination of numbers and letters only.

i did that, made sure that my values were always the same with imessage debug... rebooted thrice.

got the same values, so i decided to try imessage again with the new MLB... TOLD ME TO CALL APPLE AGAIN WITH ANOTHER CODE.

best way to know if you have the values correct aside from imesage debug is to keep trying to sign in.. you SHOULD be able to get the same Customer Code.! if you do not, then there is something wrong. do not call apple.

called them, they unlocked my account again.. and Now i have imessage 70% working! hopefully my contacts are just updating in icloud. i can however send messages from my computer, and they would appear on my phone...(imessages), so i think i have it working.

For the ROM, i generated using UUIDGEN.. did it 5x just be sure.

for you guys who cant send messages because of the "this user is not registered with imessage problem" i think that its your MLB that has to be corrected.

=p hope this helps someone.

UGH..... THIS IS SO FRUSTRATING....

So I have followed the guide to the T and I am still having the problem where it won't sync iMessages and it won't send/receive them. I have changed the ROM and MLB values, and NOTHING is changing on reboot. When I got the code the last time I even, rebooted like 5 times and checked the code and it never changed. I don't know what else to do...

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: After looking over the numbers again and looking at the guide I was able to resolve the issue, the messages won't sync but i don't care about that. But I am signed in and it is working now. :)

You don't even need the Serial Number. This is really simple to get working if you have a real mac.

1. Run iMessage_debug on your real mac and copy down the:

ROM: ex. <05563119 b22b> convert this to 05563119b22b
MLB: ex. WA2826230BXA5

2. Then under Rt Variables Section in Clover Configurator:

ROM (ROM): 05563119b22b
MLB (MLB): WA2826230BXA5

3. Under SMBIOS, select whatever hardware you want to emulate in the configurator and use whatever default values. Also enable Trust.

Reboot and you should be able to login and logout of messages no problem. I have been doing this for days now. I only need those 2 values to work. You will be able to emulate whatever system you like but still have a valid check for messages to launch properly. About this mac will show up as the machine of your choice as well.

IOPlatformUUID: ex. 5002e503-4904-ed05-e306-560700080009
ROM: ex. <05563119 b22b> convert this to 05563119b22b
MLB: ex. WA2826230BXA5

2. In clover configurator under SMBIOS, generate any fake system you want with clover configurator.
In the blanks for...put your real mac values in:

Board Serial Number (MLB): WA2826230BXA5
SmUUID (IOPlatformUUID): 5002e503-4904-ed05-e306-560700080009

I also enable "Trust", this allows clover to see faster ram (1600 MHz).

3. Then under Rt Variables Section in Clover Configurator:

ROM (ROM): 05563119b22b
MLB (MLB): WA2826230BXA5

Can anyone verify if this will keep both the hackintosh and the actual Apple device out of any trouble from/with Apple? Don't want this to end badly.

This sounds simpler but also more risky. If you don't use the spoofed mac's systemID and descriptor, the logs will have two different machines using the same serial number to login. At least if you leave it as the original mac's system type, the log would look more similar on Apple's end.

IMO at least.

The spoofed machine's serial number wasn't used, if I read his post correctly. Am I missing something?

How badly? Worst case they block both machines, you remove the numbers from the hack and call them to activate back the real mac. I don't think they'd want or care to put you into more trouble. I'm more worried about something not working right, i.e. messages not arriving when they should etc. but so far it seems to be working correctly.

Bingo! and i did not use the serial from the real mac.. only those 3 values..
