There is a section on the Apple website where one can check to see if there are any outages of any Apple Services in your particular part of the world or area before you start to panic that its your rig and start to change settings unnecessarily - A case of look before you leap? - lol.

Looks fine to me. My iMessage is working fine. https://www.apple.com/uk/support/systemstatus/

esafeddie,

Two questions:

1. What's the sensitive stuff I don't want people seeing besides serial?

2. How do I get the info to format like other people have posted?

UPDATE: I checked and it does look like my MLB is generic, because I see the same one in a video tutorial! Weird that it worked for 2 days. What steps do I need to change it? Open CC, mount EFI, load the config and .....?

You need to read the 'How to fix iMessage' guide section detailing how to create and inject your own unique values to enable iMessage to work, that's all I am prepared to advise at this moment. If you do run into any difficulties, post back and I will or anyone else will offer some help or point you in the right direction. Just read the Guide to get an insight of what it's all about - Good luck

I got the Customer care#, double checked all my stuff and sucked it up and called Apple.

I explained that I'd bought my desktop on ebay during the summer and that imessage had never worked on it, but didn't worry about it. Then around Christmas I bought a macbook pro and iphone (I actually did this) and realized what an asset imessage was, so I was calling to get it working on my desktop (aka Hackintosh)

They asked me over and over about my serial number that didn't show up in their system and I just kept telling them I didn't know, I bought it used on ebay (it shows up as a 2008 Mac Pro), then they turned it on and it works.

I'd like to assume that owning a real macbook pro and iphone didn't hurt, which I have setup with 2 level authentication. The 2 applecare people actually seemed concerned about it, like they were trying to help me and never accused me of having a Hackintosh. It took about 15 minutes. The first 12 trying to figure out why my serial number didn't show up in their system and about 3 minutes to authenticate me.

Hey, I'm trying to use this guide on El Capitan/Clover r3330. So far I can log into iMessage, but can't send any messages at all. It always says this number isn't registered with iMessage (It is).

I generated SMBIOS using Clover COnfigurator, and added a SMUUID using the uuidgen command from terminal.

I also tried deleting the caches from ~/Library/Caches.

Any Ideas?

Try signing out of iMessage/F-Time and then iCloud, next sign back into iCloud then iMessage and F-Time, you may have to go through the verification process on one of your Apple devices again. Good luck.

Hello.
Can someone help me define my problem.
I read the chapters and cannot find a solution.
I changed the s/n rom and UUID number with the help of this guide.

My problem, I presume it makes it a problem, is:
* when I restart my hackintosh, old s/n and name are given to it.
* when I restart and manually pull out the cable, I get the identity i put into the clover plist.
* If I delete the ethernet connection and restart, the Ethernet loads back up per clover configuration, so I get the old s/n and name back.

How do I know? Old identity and new are listed as two difference devices in the apple ID section. I can delete the new one, but cannot delete the old one. As the old one is the one being seen "online" ...

When I restart with the cable unpluged I get the new name identity in terminal...
If I restart with the cabel pluggged in I get the old identity in the Terminal, but the sharing name is the new one.

Any idea what is going on???

I had the same problem, but I fixed it! :) Thanks for the guide!!!!:clap::clap:

I did the following things:
1. Log out from the iMessage and iCloud too!
2. Turn off the internet (cable off) !!
3. Run Clover Configurator and open the clover config.plist (need to mount the EFI partition)
4. Choose the 'SMBIOS' tab. I generated a new (12 digit) serial number with the wizard
5. Generate a new SmUUID with the following Terminal command: 'uuidgen'
6. Copy-paste the generated UUID to the (empty) SmUUID field in the Clover Configurator - SMBIOS tab
7. Choose the 'Rt Variables' tab. For the 'ROM' field you need to find and type you network card Mac Address (12digit).
8. For the 'MLB' field copy-paste your 12digit serial number and type more 5 random digit.
9. Restart your Hackintosh
10. Log in to the iMessage.
IT WORKS!! :)

IT WORKS!!
many thanks.
