Z690 Chipset Motherboards and Alder Lake CPU

I doubt I'd bother invoking it considering the price - $18
That's a low price. Must have been an early BF deal. Sata SSDs shouldn't have the same issues as NVMe.

Probably a BF deal, yes. There were some Integral brand SSDs too for around $13.

Here goes: M1 Max 16" 32gig/1TB (Base Model).
@AndyKramer, the provided link reveled a RocketScience_6K rather that the Candlelight test you referenced.

Results were +/- one point between Metal or OpenCL options.

Very interesting, my 10 years old Hackintosh is still faster than the MacBook Pro M1 Max. :D :D
Hackintosh Catalina avec Radeon VII on Kraken x63 for the GPU.
CPU i7-3770K : who cares? I mainly use Davinci for grading, it uses 99% the GPU and hardware acceleration supported in H/264 and H/265.
Apple ProRes 422LT 25fps 3840x2160
9 Blur : 47 fps
18 Blur : 24 fps
30 Blur : 14 fps
66 Blur : 7 fps (GPU temp 59 degree, CPU temp: 32 degree)

1 TNR : 51 fps
2 TNR : 30 fps
4 TNR : 16 fps
6 TNR : 11 fps (GPU temp. 59 degree, CPU temp: 32 degree)

Very happy with my Hackintosh, 10 years of giving, nothing upgraded except the Radeon VII, running as a war horse, insanely long feature documentaries graded on this machine, the entire components are more than 10 years old, except for the NVMe and the GPU. :)
I didn't have a reason to upgrade, except for 3 color grading monitors from EIZO.
I LOVE this Hackintosh!!! :)
I can survive with more professional projects until 2024 I guess :D

I am also i9-12900k. The motherboard is ASUS z690 hero and the model is macpro7,1. A modified SSDT is used. The test scores of 2000 and 19000 under Big Sur are tested, but the SSDT will restart automatically under Monterey. The default z690 SSDT test in EFI is only 1600 and 8000

I use nothing special. I still have acpi errors. Now I'm doing USB ports map. A long way in front..........

Can you share your EFI file? Thank you. My USB customization is customized by a tool in Windows environment. After loading in Big Sur, the system can't be started, but it can be done in monthly. There's no problem

I am interested in @ori69's setup because of the performance he's getting (14,000 on Geekbench5). Despite having the same DDR4 RAM & i9 CPU, I am only getting about 10,020 on GB5 on macOS and about 8,600 on Windows 10/11. I have reason to believe it is possibly due to the Asus Z690 Prime P D4's poorer motherboard design or possibly that the BIOS of the P D4 has not yet been optimised. I am keen to hear if anyone else has experienced anything similar using DDR4 on the Z690 what results they are getting.
