Hi @kgp How to create custom SSDT to configure USB such that the port limit patch is not needed ?
I tell the truth, I actually use lastest your modified clover,I strongly recommend to use my modified clover folder! Your old folder has errors and is not optimized. If you do not appreciate or apply my help, I see no reason the help you further... in this case not only you yourself but also god may bless you my friend!
Cheers and take care
KGP
I tell the truth, I actually use lastest your modified clover, just add -xcpm boot flag and PMDrvr.kext.
before I try the mothed I mentioned,I used your last modified clover, and I thought it will be good, but the result is the freeze get more frequency,OS get freeze 3 times in 10 minutes!
then I go to try the mothed I mentioned which is based on your lastest modified clover,it work.
My next step will try to remove -xcpm boot flag and pmdrvr kext one by one to test os stability, and reset bios about CPU frequency, then I will maybe know which part is correct. If you are happy I shall be happy too . Anyway the -xcmp boot flag is totally obsolete!
Cheers

Ok,I will. You will see that by removing the -xcpm boot flag, nothing will change. However you should even stay with PMdrvr.kext and EIST, because it dramatically improves the system performance (idle and max CPU frequencies). Only if you want to opt for sleep/wake functionality, PMdrvr.kext must be removed and EIST in consequence disabled.
Just follow my guide!!!
Hi KGP, I'd like to start off with saying Thank you. Your guide has helped me to "re-setup" my X99 hackintosh with proper power management. It's been rock solid and stable for 3 days now. I have one question and one note (meta-question).
1. I'd like to implement the SSDT-HDMI.ssdt file however, I have VoodooHDA running perfectly fine. If I wish to implement the SSDT, do I need to move to AppleALC? Or can it work with Voodoo as well?
2. (meta) When setting up XCPM, I setup my BIOS exactly like you stated. However, I experienced random freezes running 10.12.6 and Windows 10. I simply turned the C6 state to ON (from your setting on no-retention?) and it works normally now and XCPM continues to work. Frequency vectors are loaded. I'm trying to understand how that setting affects PM if it affects things at all.
Once again, thank you for making this exhaustive guide and answering all our questions. Cheers and have a nice day.
