Hello,

I recently made the jump from 10.10.1 to 10.13.6. I never bothered updating before now, because my system worked with no issues and I never had a reason to upgrade until recently.

My old GPU died on me (GTX 760) so I got a new one and went ahead and made the OS upgrade to 10.13. The new card I bought was a GeForce® GTX 1050 Ti Windforce OC 4G.
Motherboard: Z97X-UD5H-BK
CPU: 4.3 GHz Intel Core i7

When I followed the Clover Configuration/Post-Installation guides the "Graphics" info under About this Mac said that it was 256MB. I tried several different guides/kexts/drivers etc and nothing worked. It would either make the system unbootable, or it would still read as 256MB no matter what I did.

I tried another fresh install and only Checked off Legacy boot mode and Mac Pro 5.1 under "System Definitions"
When I left it at the default, iMac 14.1, my Graphics would only show 256MB. Once I set it to MacPro 5.1, it shows all 4095MB.
I also downloaded NVidia Web Driver.

--------
I did not install any other drivers or kexts other than what I've mentioned.
All audio works.
Screen Saver does not. USB 3.0 does not.
(Both my ethernet ports got fried in an electrical storm, currently using USB to ETHERNET adapter)
--------

I do not get any screen tears and no lags on videos, however if I play a game my frames drop to 5-10FPS, which is the same amount of FPS I received when the Graphics section read 256MB.... The old graphics card was only 2Gigs, but it ran way better than this current one, with the same game! What going on??

I've included screenshots of what I thought may be pertinent information about my GPU crisis.

Can anyone help me diagnose this? This is day 3 and I'm still stuck!! I've been sitting here for 10hours today! Lol. :(

Thanks in advance!

Update: I used CC again and tried nv_disable =1, again, and now it's less laggy. But still lags.... Still in need of assistance. Again, all the guides I've tried have failed me so far so I'm reaching around in the dark.

The graphics card was a gift from my girlfriend, trying to get this working before its too late to return it.
