Hi Guys,

I have not seen BruceX Scores better than 7s-ish, I was wondering if this was just coincidence or the test is too short for new systems. Wanting to upgrade to a 9900k system, but I recently got two RX580s to work in my old X79/4930k system.

Attached is an updated BruceX Test,
Standard 5k
5K X5 (which is just 5 copies of the original)
New 8k Version

My System (ProRes 422)
Mojave 10.14.6 | Final Cut Pro X 10.4.6
Bruce-X - 5K . <9s
Bruce-X - 8K . <20s
Bruce-X - 5K X5 >41s

Final Cut now has better performance again with my Vega 64 (Sapphire NITRO+) in Catalina, it's super annoying that results keep changing back and forth between updates, it's making me consider switching to DaVinci Resolve.

Catalina 10.15 = 12 Seconds.
Mojave 10.14.6 = 23 seconds.

FCPX 10.4.7 resulted in a bigger-than-expected performance increase on my system too.

i9-9900
64GB 3200mhz DDR4
Sapphire RX-580 8GB
Mojave 10.14.6
iMac 18,3 - Headless / Orinoco FB

Prores: 9 seconds
H264: 12 seconds

Prores was around 16 seconds prior to the FCPX update. All my tests were with Mojave 10.14.6.

You have Dual Graphic Card Setup right? Your result on Catalina and FCPX 10.4.7 is far more better than mine ( one Radeon VII)
I think both the macOS and FCPX are optimized intentionally for Dual Graphic Cards setup.
