[SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

Okay. So I followed this guide all over again to create a new USB boot. I got back into my Catalina drive, installed an earlier version of Clover and looks like I am back up and running. However, the installer for the 10.15.7 install is still appearing on the boot screen (see screenshot) any ideas how to get rid of this as I’m running 10.15.7
Do you see the "Boot macOS Install..." option when the USB flash disk is removed and you start the computer from the internal macOS SSD?

Yes, sorry, I should have made that clear. The photo provided is of my bootup after reverting Clover and removing the USB flash drive.

Does the computer sleep and wake properly if the WiFi/BT PCIe card is physically removed?

Your WiFi/BT module looks okay; it is a Broadcom 943602CS device. However, we know that not all PCIe WiFi/BT cards work reliably with the Designare Z390, which is why we generally recommend:
  • Fenvi FV-T919
  • Fenvi FV-HB1200
  • YOUBO T919
  • ABWB T919 has also been okay
So first remove the WiFi/BT PCIe card from the system and check sleep/wake.

I tried to do it myself, it did not work. JPG not opened.
I would appreciate it.

EDIT:
It works. Should have forced "Enable" in the BIOS instead of "AUTO".

Question: How can I check that everything is working correctly now? JPG works. But maybe something else?

Thank you
Run Hackintool and see if VDA Decoder is Fully Supported. This information will appear on the default window when Hackintool starts up. From the same window, also check if Platform ID is set to 0x3E980003.

Okay, this can happen if native NVRAM is not enabled. Some questions:
  • Which version of BIOS are you running?
  • Was native NVRAM enabled before installing the 10.15.7 update?
  • Did you see any error messages at the end of the 10.15.7 update process?
Based on your answers we may need to:
  • Enable native NVRAM
  • And download the Combo Updater for 10.15.7 from Apple and reinstall it. That will remove the "Boot macOS Install..." option.

with a card, the computer falls asleep, but does not wake up from the original trackpad and apple keyboard, the wireless keyboard and mouse Logitech wakes up the computer without problems, but after waking up, the apple keyboard and trackpad does not work, if I go into the bluetooth settings, they are disconnected

Sorry for jumping in, but if you took out the WiFi/BT card then of course the Apple keyboard and trackpad won't work since they both connect via Bluetooth.

Oh I see.

I experience the same issue with Bluetooth devices. If I press a key on any Bluetooth keyboard, the system fans will spin and the wake process will start, but there will be no image on screen. If I use a USB keyboard, then it works every time.

UPDATE: Just tried waking system with a brand new Keychron K1 V4 bluetooth keyboard (currently sold out on Amazon). It works perfectly with Fenvi FV-T919. I am typing this from the Bluetooth keyboard after wake-from-sleep, which means Bluetooth devices reconnect automatically.

The most reliable wireless keyboards and mice for this system are Logitech wireless keyboards and mice using the Logitech Unifying USB receiver. These devices work in BIOS, in Clover, in OpenCore, and in macOS. They work with sleep and wake as well.

Looks like I am running F7, should I update? I just noticed the board has had two BIOS updates since I last updated.

How can I check if NVRAM was enabled? I didn't change any of the BIOS settings and actually had the profile saved from when I first made this build last year.

I did get an error message at the very end of the macOS update install that looked as though the update didn't complete, but then when I booted into Catalina off of the internal NVMe SSD "About This Mac" listed 10.15.7

I did not take it out, it stands still
