You can give it a try with USB3.0. If it does not work change to USB3.1

I guess it is a problem of the particular iClover boot loader theme. I have the same error . Choose another theme and you will see that everything works fine. In my case, e.g. the "metal" theme works pretty well..
Thanks! Metal seems to be ok!

I have noticed an interesting (at least for me) thing
because I have lost a lot of performance comparing my geekbench scores between 10.12 and 10.13 and decided to do some tests, I have applied KernelToPatch
Code:
89d8c1e0 084863d0 b800ff00 004863d0 xcpm performance fix(wrsmr fix to get CPU max) ⓒ okrasit
and with my 6900k the geekbench scores back to its max and got again around 34k in multi, everything seems to be working fine, not much difference in temperatures but.... I started to have instant wakeup after sleep :( is there any better workaround / better version of this patch you may know ?
Thanks

That's totally strange! I cannot confirm your experience on my rig and I don't believe what your saying!!! Benchmarks are exactly the same under 10.12.6 and 10.13!!!

You must miss something or commit some error at some point!

Please don't spread misleading conclusions along this thread!

I am not at all a fan of the xcpm performance fix by okrasit, which in my personal opinion is a very rudimentary hoax.

The use of PMDrvr.kext, if possible instead, is a much more sophisticated approach and solution!

If you can improve the sleep/wake performance, please report back with an alternative method!

Thanks,

KGP

So then I'll wait until Wednesday, Amazon Shipping USB 3.1, I want to make a perfect Hakintosh without problems.
I extra bought the same Hardware as KGP: Asus X-99 A2 + Nvidia GTX 10 series + QVL RAM + i7-68XX Series CPU.

By the way: Is it possible to Restore MAC OS X (Hakintosh) from Timemachine? Like on a normal MAC? Does Timemachine include all the changes we are making in the post installation? I ask just in a future fail case. If here are no experince I will try it out and share my experience.

Thanks to all Guys here and to KGP absolute nice Guide! THANKS A LOT!

Hi everyone!

First, thanks to @kgp for putting so much efforts on maintaining this project. I carefully read every post.
I am currently running Sierra 10.12.6, everything works amazingly well, and it has been the case since May.

This last week-end I tried to upgrade my workstation to High Sierra, but I am facing a dead-end.
I have tried a variety of things, but I am not able to reach the High Sierra installer on first boot.
Console/text logs are displayed correctly, but when the installer start initializing the graphical user interface,
my GFX card stop sending the video signal and I am getting a black screen, unable to continue on the installation process.

I tried the following:
  • nv_disable=1
  • dart=0
  • Disabling lilu.kext
  • Using NvidiaGraphicsFixup.kext
  • A variety of clover flags
  • Trying multiple monitor connections (HDMI, Display Port, DVI)
When using the nv_disable=1 flag, I don't get a black screen, but the system is endlessly clearing the screen and displaying this message on the console, every 10 seconds:

com.apple.xpc.launchd[1] (com.apple.WindowServer) <Notice>: Service only ran for 0 seconds. Pushing respawn out by 10 seconds.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Here are my specs:
  • USB 3.1 Type-C USB key, official High Sierra installer.
  • ASUS X99 A-II (latest BIOS, patched)
  • Intel i7 6900K
  • Asus GTX 780 (3GB)
  • 64GB RAM
I realize my GFX card is pretty old. On Sierra, I'm using AGPFix & Nvidia Web Drivers without any issues.

Thanks for your help!

Please refer to KGP's guide, first page of this Thread, at chapter "E.3 USB Configuration" there is a zip file named "DSM2-ASUS-X99-A-II-USB-kext.zip". Download it, that the kext you should be using. You have to copy it into "EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other" folder.

Thanks for your reply, but I am still not having any success.

Following KGP's alternative configuration, presumably I should not use the kext patch or the

USB settings in the "Device" section of the Clover Configurator: "Inject", "Add ClockID", "FixOwnership"
- checked; "HighCurrent" - unchecked.

Which SMBIOS are you using? What are your usb BIOS Settings? Would you mind uploading your EFI? Currently my best outcome is following the first configuration which allows my front panel usb2 to work and one of the 11 on the back!

I had to remove my GTX 770 and try another card in order to boot installer. After that completed and I sorted out the web drivers I replaced the 770 and it worked fine.

Damn, maybe it's time for me to upgrade. I'm not a gamer though, I probably will get a entry-level GPU.

Hi Everyone,

First of all Thanks KGP for the wonderful guide. Had to say this is the only time in past 3 years I don't have to spend months to have a working Hackintosh and also first time every my bluetooth worked from my MOBO. Everything worked like a charm in 5 hrs I spent.

MY Specs 5820k, Rampage V extreme patched BIOS,970GTX. I am going to monitor this hack continuously for a week and if everything looks stable, I will wipe out my Sierra and clone this to the other SSD :D. Thanks a ton.

On a side node, MacPro6,1 was selected and just applying agpdfix put me in the black screen. I had to include EmuVariableUefi-64.efi and put NVWebDriverLibValFix.kext in L/E.

One quick question I have installed the Hack on a SSD with name OSX but in the clover configurator during mount EFI partition it says EFI on EFI. It used to say EFI on OSX any idea why ?
