Thanks for your answer.
I tried exactly the things you said. My installion drive (the drive with the installiert on it) is an USB 3.0 Stick. The target drive is one of th 4TB SATA SSDs. I have removed one of the Titan Xps.
The prohibition sign appears directly after pressing Enter in Clover to boot from the USB.
No changes with your new EFI Folder.

Cheers,
SmariMo

Please boot in verbose mode (-v) and upload the boot message... I cannot help you if you just boot with the progress bar.. I am missing information!

Did you double check the BIOS settings and verify that you have the latest BIOS firmware installed? You are using the ASUS Rampage V Edition 10 and the i7-6950X, right? Unfortunately, I do not have any personal experience with the ASUS Rampage V Edition 10..... But you should have a crosstalk with @dnetcrawler , who employs the same mobo as you. If I remember properly, he already succeeded in successfully booting the PB3/DP4 clean installer with my EFI folder, the ASUS Rampage V Edition 10 and the i7-6900K.

Cheers,

KGP

Still the +++++ error

Even with the most actual and modified EFI folder contained in EFI-10.13-TM-040817a.zip attached below? Did you check once more your BIOS settings? Please also once more verify, that you have the last BIOS firmware version (1701) installed.

Note that a successful boot of the PB3/DP4 clean installer with the modified EFI folder contained in EFI-10.13-TM-040817a.zip has already been confirmed by user @Obecny in #post 175, #post 192 , #post 203 and #post 207 with the ASUS X99 Deluxe II and the i7-6900K. The modified EFI folder contained in EFI-10.13-TM-0408a.zip folder also has been 100% successfully verified by myself for the ASUS X99-A II and the i7-6950X (identical hardware configuration with yours). Successful boot of PB3/DP4 clean installer and PB3/DP4 Updater from 10.12.16 and DP3.

Alternatively, you could also use in addition to EFI-10.13-TM-040817a.zip the simplified config.plist attached below (with all MatchOS entries removed), in case you still encounter problems with the config.plist of the modified EFI folder contained in EFI-10.13-TM-040817a.zip.

Cheers,

KGP

Nothing really, all basic as possible and exactly like in tutorial by kgp, at the moment I still fighting to start my nvidia maxwell 970 but no luck.

Just tried the latest update efi 040817 and all good as well

Can you exactly tell me how you perform the 10.12.6 web driver workaround for 10.13? For sure we will be able to manage and solve your problems in making it also work on your system :thumbup:

Cheers,

@dnetcrawler ,

could you please do me the favor in verifying whether or not the EFI folder in the attached EFI-10.13-TM-0408a.zip successfully boots a USB 2.0 or USB3.0 Flash Drive PB3/DP4 clean installer with your ASUS X99 Rampage V Edition 10 and i7-6900K?

Alternatively, you could also use in addition to EFI-10.13-TM-040817a.zip the simplified config.plist attached below (with all MatchOS entries removed), in case you still encounter problems with the config.plist of the EFI folder contained in EFI-10.13-TM-040817a.zip.

Please revise once more your BIOS settings before this test and also verify that you have the latest BIOS firmware installed.

Note that a successful boot of the PB3/DP4 clean installer with the modified EFI folder contained in EFI-10.13-TM-0408a.zip has already been confirmed by user @Obecny in #post 175, #post 192 , #post 203 and #post 207 with the ASUS X99 Deluxe II and the i7-6900K. Successful boot of PB3/DP4 clean installer and PB3/DP4 Updater from 10.12.16 and DP3.

I would appreciate your feedback!

Many thanks in advance,

KGP

Summary and USB Flash Drive PB3/DP4 Clean Install Proposal

The workgroup composition below should especially help all yet not successful users in contacting and interacting with those users, who already have been able to successfully boot an USB Flash Drive PB3/DP4 Clean Installer/Upgrader by means of my distributed EFI folder and by following all instructions contained in my 10.13 High Sierra Desktop Guide (originating post of this thread).

I propose the following 5 working groups, whose members should interact with posts or private messages (also with me) in order to successfully boot with the respective mobo configurations a USB Flash Drive DP3/DP4 Clean Installer/Upgrader with the EFI folder contained in my EFI-10.13-TM-040817a.zip once more attached below. Note that I 100% successfully verified this EFI folder with the ASUS X99-A II (bios version 1701) and the i7-6950X (identical hardware configuration with yours) with respect to both PB3/DP4 clean install and PB3/DP4 Update from 10.12.16 and DP3.

Alternatively, one finds below in addition to EFI-10.13-TM-040817a.zip a simplified config.plist with all apparently critical MatchOS entries removed, just in case that somebody still encounters problems with the config.plist of the EFI folder contained in EFI-10.13-TM-040817a.zip.

Note that all Broadwell-E users should be able to directly apply the EFI folder contained in EFI-10.13-TM-040817a.zip as well as the alternative config.plist configuration without any further modifications. All Haswell-E users have to perform before the "CPU Type", "FakeCPUID" and "XCPM KernelToPatch Entry" changes indicated in the originating post of this thread (10.13 High Sierra Desktop Guide). Further note, that the EFI folder already contains the most actual Clover Bootloader Configration (v. 4128)

Before performing the current USB Flash Drive PB3/DP4 Clean Installer/Upgrader test and investigation, please check your BIOS settings with respect to those depicted in the originating post of this thread (10.13 High Sierra Desktop Guide) and verify also that you posses the latest BIOS firmware version for your respective mobo configuration.

Proposed Workgroup Composition:

1.) ASUS X99-A II, ASUS X99-A

@kgp (i7-6950X) success, @dsm (i7-6950X) success, @dragoonchang (E5-2696V3) success, @ICEVISION (i7-6950X) , @hellowe (e5-2675 v3) , @Moviemaykr (i7-5820K) and @robinqu (i7-6850K) success

2.) ASUS X99 Deluxe II, ASUS X99 Deluxe

@Obecny (i7-6900K) success , @GDS (E5-2696V4) success, @wayne2401 (i7-6900K) sucess, @duckgrossberg (i7-6950X) and @antagon (i7-6800K)

3.) ASUS X99 Rampage V Edition 10

@dnetcrawler (i7-6900K) success and @SmariMo (i7-6950X)

4.) ASUS X99 Sabertooth

@pete1959 (E5-2690) success and @Pears (i7-6950X)

5.) Gigabyte X99M

@pete1959 (i7-5960X) success

Success Feedback:

@kgp, @dsm - ASUS X99-A II, i7-6950X

@Obecny - #post 175, #post 192 , #post 203 and #post 207 - ASUS X99 Deluxe II, i7-6900K

@GDS - #post 217 , #post 220 and #post 222 - ASUS X99 Deluxe II, Xeon E5-2696V4 (Broadwell-EP)

@dragoonchang - #post 254, #post 274, #post 279 - ASUS X99-A II, Xeon E5-2696V3 (Haswell-EP)

@wayne2401 - #post 6 - ASUS X99 Deluxe II, i7-6900K

@dnetcrawler - #post 15 - ASUS Rampage V Edition 10, i7-6900K

@robinqu - #post 20 - ASUS X99-A, i7-6850K

@pete1959 - #post 37 - ASUS X99 Sabertooth, e5-2690 & Gigabyte X99M, i7-5960

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am looking forward in receiving as soon as possible your hopefully positive feedback!

Cheers and a successful and fruitful collaboration in between all of us!

Don't give up or get upset, deceived and depressed if you do not succeed immediately :lol:;):thumbup:

the X.13 is ok on the same rig of the X.12.6
the GB CPU's results are pretty similar
will post it soon

But for only INFORMATIVE purposes,
I overclocked one of my titan x (Bios mod on W$10 and 10 hours stress test for full reliability)

just to compare titan X out of the box and one modded
made the Geekbench open CL : one after the other (no reboot etc etc)

the result

And you succeeded in successfully booting the PB3/DP4 installer/updater with the EFI folder contained in the EFI-10.13-TM-040817a.zip, of course after the above mentioned necessary modifications for Haswell-E?

Gorgeous results with your Titan X tests by the way!

yes
I just modded some points cause the 2696v4 as all the V4 are not real E but EP
give me a day
I will post results and GB scores

i want to transfer everything on my NVME SM961
for comparing the X.12.6 and X.13
it is raw results cause tons of programs dont work on high Sierra right now
:(
