Hey guys and gals! I didn't want to make another thread, since I'm sure it can be answered here, and it's not a hijack of a thread.
Last night, I upgrade to Sierra's third beta (10.12.6). I went to edit my kext for Nvidia drivers and I made a mistake while editing the plist.
Instead of being SMART and looking through my cloned drive for the line I messed up, I uninstalled the driver......
Obviously I cannot install it again, as it is not compatible. So I am under the impression that I need to just restore my cloned drive, update again, and be more careful with what I edit? There's obviously no way to install a incompatible driver, right? I've tried that PASCAL one, and others, but I do know exactly the mistake I made.
Just checking if it would have been possible, before restoring, as I am lazy (no shame) .

Modify the build number in the distribution file. Misty of the steps are in problem #3 in the first post.

Hello all, i'm having an issue (10.12.5) here now
Recently i change my gpu to gtx1060 from gtx950, when i reboot, no displays shown (already passed verbose mode), i'm pretty sure on latest nvidia driver, already installed emuvariable, connected via displayport, is there something that i missed?

------
tried to boot with osx default driver, update my clover to 4091, tried to install emuvariable and rcscript, the rest continue follow guideline, second boot and it all works
thanks alot!

Hello guys,

I have a EVGA GTX 1060 6GB running with full acceleration on 10.12.5 using the NVIDIA Web Drivers. Everything seems to be ok.

Unfortunately I have an issue: When I turn on the PC the two fans/coolers of GPU start and run very well. However once the system is booting (almost on the middle of booting time) the fans/coolers stop to work and stay halted even if I open a game and play which certainly will warm the GPU.

Anyone had experience this problem?

I read some posts on the forum but 99% has no answers. One guy solved this a time ago by updating the GPU BIOS. I didn't find a BIOS to update on EVGA site, just Windows Drivers to download.

I also read from Google's search that EVGA GTX 1060 6gb fans stop spinning when the card is idle. But mine are not spinning even inside the game.

Thank you very much!

EDITED:

Ok guys! I can confirm that EVGA GTX 1060 6gb fans stop spinning when the card is idle or is not too hot. After almost an hour playing for testing but afraid of GPU becomes too hot the fans begins to spinning again, even after I closed the game. I guess GPU is trying to recover the temperature to stop the fan again. Few minutes later, it stops again.

Thank you anyway for read :)

This is normal for most 10 series and 9 series Nvidia GPUs.
