Actually Apple had been venturing into gaming way before Apple Arcade or the iPhone ever first appeared.Nintendo, it's been mooted before when Apple met Nintendo at WWDC a few years ago. Nintendo had launched the DS and Apple needed some help with its iPhone. If Apple bought Nintendo that would be a great acquisition.
Remember the Pippin? It was a product they had made with Japan's Bandai (and several others) based on the Macintosh to get into the gaming and set-top box markets.
