Sabertooth X79 Sierra installation stuck / usb disabled

Hello this is my first attempt in to building a hackintosh and I have one issue:

after selecting Boot Mac OS X from USB the installation freezes.

tried some X79 build suggested boot flags with no luck.

one thing is odd, the usb ports all get disabled at the same point the installation freezes.

any suggestions how to troubleshoot it?

Seems to be happening to my first build on X79 build too...

I have exact the same problem. Not 100% sure, but probably, we need to modify USB definitions in DSDT.

My installation has not been completed due to another issue, but at least, I was able to reach the Sierra Installer with modified DSDT.

Known issues:

Can you tell me which boot args you used and bios settings, im going crazy trying to get this thing to install.

johnleeder, I have a similar setup using the X79 and 3930K. Do you have a guide that you used to get OS X Sierra up and running on the X79/3930K? I am having trouble getting Sierra install to boot using another guide for an ASUS Rampage Extreme MB. Looking for a guide for the X79 and OS X Sierra.
