no, at the time, before I managed to get my Antelope D8SC to work I had tried to flash my card (CH341A)
but with the modified firmwares but it no longer worked.
so I put back the original firmware from the backup.

Here's what I would do.

Your build is very similar to @CaseySJ's famously documented Gigabyte Z390 build. I would start by building a proper OpenCore EFI. That way you can know for sure everything is working the way it should and you'll be speaking the same language, so to...speak.

Sometimes we can get macOS to just sort of work with minimal things, but when something doesn't work (like TB) its possibly because of the other things that aren't quite in line. For example, you're using USB Inject All but your USB ports aren't actually mapped. This is common in hackintosh because its so exciting to see it boot for the first time. However, thats just step one of many!

Take your time with this and make sure you have a back up of your working Clover EFI so you can get back in. I bet you when you get this rolling you'll be in good shape.

Try it out yourself first and then when you get stuck ask for help.

Yes I know that one day I will have to switch to opencore but I am angry because it works under clover and for more than 2 weeks.. Before I want to activate sidecar with my new i9.
My use of the hackintosh is mainly for making sound and playing wot from time to time but I am not an expert unfortunately.
Otherwise yes I have a version with a USB Kext ports but it worked with USB inject all as well..
Thank you ;)

Oh its definitely a jump but we use OpenCore Configurator now and it's every bit as easy. In fact, its a lot more simple and streamlined and documented.

Check that out. The only part of this that was truly hands on was the USBPorts.kext.

This is for a Z690 so don't use as an example.

Here's a good starting place to study. Not, copy, study!

ok i will study the thing, even if at 57 my mind has become slow.
But I made my kext ports with hackintool
thx :)

Hello @MacWintosh64,

Some questions and comments:
  • First, I understand that your Antelope Audio Thunderbolt interface was working on Asus Prime Z390-A with previous CPU.
  • When you upgraded to i9-9900K, did anything else change (other than CPU)?
  • Which version of macOS are you running?
  • Have you tried a cold boot (shutdown system, flip power switch on PSU to OFF for 10 seconds, then power back on)?
  • In BIOS, have you tried:
    • Enabling Thunderbolt Boot Support (set to Boot Once or try other option)?
    • Enable IOMMU. Please see screenshot.
    • Enable VT-d (should be enabled already).

Hello CaseySJ,

Yes I tried cold start.
PC power supply disconnected --> electrical connection of the Antelope card, hardware reset x2 then selection thunderbolt in the menu of the card Antelope.
Connecting it to the PC via Apple tb3/tb2 adapter and powering up the PC power supply and starting!

Apart from the 9900k nothing has changed!! Apart from activating the igpu in the bios because I removed the RX560 which burned out and I must receive an RX570 this afternoon.
I will try again with VTD enabled and IOMMU, I had already tried without results.
I'll get back to you as soon as I try again !

Hello CaseySJ and Thx for help,
I have Catalina 10.15.7 (19H1615) I did not update 2022-002.
I tried again with your instructions, same result.
My Antelope card is recognized as an Express Card in the report system as when it worked.
Still missing IOAudioEngineUserClient in the ioreg.

I just received my RX570 Asus Strix I'm going to install it and I'll be back

Asus RX570 4GB installed and functional

All that's missing is Antelope discrete 8SC in thunderbolt.
I can use it in USB but no more AFX2DAW

There are a few options left:
  1. In BIOS, set Graphics —> Multi Monitor to enabled.
  2. Which product name are you using? iMac 19,1 or iMacPro 1,1 or …?
  3. What is the setting of PlatformID? Is it 0x3E9B0007 or 0x3E980003? This is shown in front page of Hackintool.
  4. If all else fails, consider doing a fresh install of Catalina on a spare (extra) SSD. The SSD can be installed internally or externally (in USB 3 enclosure). Then install only the Antelope drivers and software to see if “IOAudioEngineUserClient” appears.
  5. Also consider using OpenCore. We can help you with that. Have you checked to see if HackinDROM App already contains an EFI folder for your motherboard?
