Create a ssdt for your for your SandyBridge-E CPU.
Guide: Asus X79 OS X Controlled SpeedStep
Rename it SSDT-9.aml and replace SSDT-9.aml in the patched folder with it.

You should try adding the red parts of:

to your config.plist to patch the applintelcpupowermanagement.kext on the fly with clover. I haven't looked into any of this in a long time so I'm not sure if the patch is compatible with El Cap

Friend, i installed AppleIntelCpuPowermanagement.kext and X79MacPro61Speedstep.kext and put alongside my SSDT from my Yosemite Build. Now Speed step is working! Jumped back to 22k points in Geekbench. So i can continue with my videos thank you man! Be blessed in Jesus name!

@osxfr33k,
Try this

Still got the panic. Tried again with USB3 disabled still got the panic. I tried a few times got past it but now the spam message changed from ASMX to:

Code:
Oct  8 20:33:55 osxfr33ks-iMac kernel[0]: 000183.321529 AppleUSBXHCIPCI@02000000: AppleUSBHostController::setPowerStateGated: going to state 2 failed with 0xe00002e9

I know this is the basics but does the SSDT have to be named consecutively to load? The first one being SSDT.aml followed by SSDT-0.aml or SSDT-1.aml?

Maybe something wrong in my Config possibly, attached.

Thanks for helping!!

@osxfr33k,
As you are not using the files from this guide, Please post your CLOVER/ACPI/patched folder and list all the kexts you've installed in SLE or clover.

Apologies to everyone. I really rushed though getting this update out as I am about to go on a two week road trip tomorrow. I found and fixed some mistakes that I made with the files for the R4E. I've added files for the 3930K. Im hoping that some of you with a R4E and or a 3930K will test the new files in the original post before I leave tomorrow.

Thanks

EDIT:
If you've already installed El Cap on your R4E. No need to start over. Just replace the info.plist and ACPI/patched files with the new ones.

/S/L/E only had The DummyUSBXHC.kext form the insanely USB 3 fix thread. I stripped it down to only have OSBundleLibraries and only com.apple.driver.usb.AppleUSBXHCI showing v 1.0. This is the only thing that prevented the panic for me. I removed it so nothing in /S/L/E now.

/EFI/Clover/drivers64UEFI/HFSPlus.efi
/EFI/Clover/drivers64UEFI/OsxAptioFix2Drv-64.efi
/EFI/Clover/drivers64UEFI/FSInject-64.efi
/EFI/Clover/drivers64UEFI/EmuVariableUefi-64.efi
/EFI/Clover/kexts/X79MacPro61SpeedStep.kext
/EFI/Clover/kexts/FakeSMC.kext
/EFI/Clover/kexts/CPUSensors.kext
/EFI/Clover/kexts/GPUSensors.kext
/EFI/Clover/kexts/ACPISensors.kext
/EFI/Clover/kexts/realtekALC.kext
/EFI/Clover/kexts/BrcmBluetoothInjector.kext
/EFI/Clover/ACPI/patched/ssdt-1.aml
/EFI/Clover/ACPI/patched/ssdt.aml

FakeSMC and its plugins are the latest Kozlek releases. If I strip down the kexts folder to just FakeSMC I still get the panic.

The Clover.config file has patches for the Wifi/Audio Toleda clover binary patching.

The ssdt.aml is the one you patched for me and the other for the CPU 12 core which is from Rampage's patch set. I did try all the SSDT's in your patch set except the ssdt-9.aml and your config file.

Please zip and post the actual /EFI/Clover/ACPI/patched/ folder. I need to look at the ACPI files to see whats going wrong.

Also, please update your profile info to reflect your current hardware.

Thanks

Sorry about that. Here it is. I am lost on this as well. I found a user, hangten with the exact same motherboard. Asus X79-Deluxe and he has no issues. He is on Bios 0801. I am 0902 but tried the version he is on made no difference!!

Hi, shilohh,

I finally can boot into Captain HD with only case 1. Here are the summaries:

Case one
clover folder kext 10.11 folder if includes:
AppleIntelE1000e.kext
fakeSMC.kext
reatekALC.kext

However, whenever I followed your guide to add DSDT.aml, dumped by clover bios ver. 4901, complied with no error, plus use your x79xxxx.kext, the system cannot be bootable. Here are the summaries:

1) replace the config.plist
2) add x79xxx.kext, DSDT, SSDT.aml and SSDT-0.aml.
3) Run AGP until.
4) reboot
but system hanged.

If I replace the said x79xxx.kext with fakesmc.kext, no usb support any more. System is running.

The said DSDT in question I can use flawlessly in 10.10.5 while I am writing to seek your advice, no problem at all. All works!!!
I don't know how I can fix it.

By the way, here are my devices installed

PCI 1 slot GTX 670
PCI 2 slot empty
PCI 3 slot RocketRaid 4320 (*driver installed in Captain and it works, no error after testing it)
PCI 4 slot empty
PCI 5 slot Handoff wifi and bluetooth PCIe x1 card (it works flawlessly in 10.10.5)
PCI 6 slot Firewire 800 PCI card (it works)

Grateful if you could help me to have a look on my DSDT file to see what is going on. After hundreds times of trying with in vain.
I believe my DSDT is the clue to fix it.

Many many thanks.
