so, no love for hd7470m?

Thought I'd get a post together here in the graphics section to collect 7xxx testing in the new 10.8.3. Here are some hints/tricks- I'll be publishing an article sometime next week.

I have the MSI Radeon HD 7870, booting via UniBeast MBR formatted disk- GraphicsEnabler=No. You then have to sleep the rig via Power Button, and when it wakes, joy. Not exactly ideal- but here are my test results. Fully working OpenCL/OpenGL and connectors in 10.8.3.

How to Boot from Hard Drive with AMD Radeon HD 7xxx:
When using a board with integrated graphics, set that to Primary display with the card in. It should work in tandem with the IGPU to boot successfully. On Gigabyte boards, set these 2 settings for dual graphics. You can set GraphicsEnabler=Yes, use default GUID partition format, and everything will work.

Init Display First: IGFX
Internal Graphics: Disabled (OS X will recognize fully)

@adelsky, got a question and it is probally the stupidest i ever asked lol

Anyway I have never had a computer with multiple graphics cards and i see we have the same motherboard. So i wanted to know is can you use both cards at the same time like one for mac other for windows with two screens. If so which im not sure you can or not how would you set that in the bios. Cause my 7950 is in 3.0 slot which is PCI express. I was actually thinking of getting a Gt 640 cause it less then 100 dollars and have almost 400 cuda cores as i dont do a lot of editing just minor stuff currently, not until i get in my core classes in college.

Anyway Im rambling to make it short can you use two graphics cards for two different OSes instead of one. like one for windows when it starts up and one for mac.

You can just use both for both.
Although you could use one card for one OS and the other card for the other OS, it would require changing a BIOS setting every time you want to switch, which can be a bit of an annoyance. (That's not really a question for this thread, though--next time make a thread about it in the graphics section. ;))

Hi everyone I also have an ATI Radeon 7850 2GB (HIS Model) and I would like to try i, but I have a "big" problem, when I try to boot from unibeast 1.7 MBR (10.8 ML App) I can't pass the boot0 screen, simply I get strange symbols at boot0:done etc...
How can I fix it?

I did not say I installed two of the cards and didn't even think about installing any case I want you to file DSDT.aml To try it on my Do you have a problem freezes the screen with GPUSansor

Okay I resolved mine worked but I have only one problem, I can't put to sleep my computer by Power button. Is there anyone that help me?

MB: GA-P67A-D3-B3 UEFI BIOS UA5

Tried my Radeon HD 7850 Sapphire 2GB OC Edition.
With modded Kext it is partially working I probably need to edit something else as Unigine Valley is not displaying any 3D.
But Cinebench works, chess and Autocad and video is displaying properly !

I've added my type of card to those two kext
AMDRadeonAccelerator
ATI7000Controller

you can find them here ! http://db.tt/EGaLO9ZI
