How to extend the iMac Pro to X99 [Successful Build/Extended Guide]

For some reason using the latest Clover version, my system does not boot anymore (4259).
Anyone have the same experience?

Regards, Mike

Hi Mike,

successful boot with Clover_v2.4k_r4259 100% verified! Please inspect your /EFI/CLOVER/drivers64UEFI/ directory in the EFI-Partition of your System Disk! Apart from all standard clover files, your should just have CsmVideoDxe-64.efi and OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000.efi installed. Check if you accidentally installed another OsxAptioFix with the installation of Clover_v2.4k_r4259.

When installing Clover_v2.4k_r4259, carefully select Clover's customisation options! Only select CsmVideoDxe-64.efi and no other files to be installed by clover in addition!

Good luck!

Hi kgp, I bought a 1080 Ti, upgrade from my 1070, and I was wondering if I needed to reinstall the drivers? I plugged my 1080 Ti in and it works fine and all, but the system keeps locking up randomly. There is no pattern; it's frozen when I'm on excel, browsing internet, watching youtube videos or movies, anything. No errors, nothing. Just computer locking up (mouse can't move and entire system unresponsive). The computer always makes a physical *click* sound and then it is just frozen. The click is coming from the computer, since my speakers have been off and it still *clicks*. The power isn't cut, the computer is still on, but I cannot get out of it until I hard reset by pushing the power button. I have a dual boot setup to windows 10 and so far it hasn't occurred on my windows 10 setup yet so perhaps it is high sierra specific?

So my question is, do you think its a driver related issue? And if it is can you provided a step-by-step guide on how to uninstall the drivers and the reinstall them to see if I can fix this? I would rather not have to reinstall the thing to fix this.

BTW the gpu is a MSI GTX 1080 Ti Founders Edition if that makes a difference.

Thanks!

Hi kgp, if you're responding to me from post #819 then you are correct it was enabled in BIOS. I've disabled it now and see how it goes!

Hi KGP !
Great work. It did work for me with the Gigabyte x99-Designare MB + i7 6850K.

Except, I switch to AMD gpu with the radeon rx Vega 64 and I have an issue.
I can only connect a single monitor. If I connect a second one, the first monitor becomes grey or a random single color and it's impossible to use the computer. Even if I disconnect the second screen. I have to force to quit.

Only the first DP port is working also. If I connect the single screen to the other ports, it doesn't work as well.

I have the latest whatevergreen and lilu kexts installed.

Any ideas how I can fix this ?

No native support for the Radeon Vega 64? Just "Inject ATI" in Section "Graphics" of Clover Configurator without Whatevergreen?
I never owned a Radeon Vega 64... But @DSM2 does... For sure he can help! ;)

@mimixa , @dj_adam21 ,

are your sure that the xcpm_bootstrap KernelToPatch entry is adequate and properly implemented for your processor ? Usually, the latter KernelToPatch entry enables the C3 states your are apparently missing ...
And which one is correct?

Thanks KGP for this advice, but it didn't work.

Cold you upload your EFI Folder ? So I can take a look what’s going on ?
Yes. Thank you in advance for a look to it. I just erased the serial number and ID.

And also, not all my USB-3 ports are working. Only 2 (the red one (3.1) and the blue below it) is working.
If you have something to fix this too, will be appreciated.
