Hi Shilohh,

sorry for the late reply but I was not able to try it out until now. And it did the trick. Perfect! Thanks a lot!
Now mount the boot drives EFI partion and add the attached SSDT to EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched. Then make sure inject nvidia is off or false.

@shilohh

Am off on another business trip over the weekend. Will test Monday.

Have been using onboard audio via 3.5mm jack up to now. When using Resolve/Avid etc, I've used Blackmagic Audio via the Decklink card. Would be interesting to see if the HDMI audio works through the monitors though.

@cwith

Mission Control solution worked.

Many thanks to you both.

Heya friends.

I'm having trouble staying connected to a server via ethernet. Some days I can connect and stay on, other days it'll connect and then 5-10 seconds later it'll kick off. This will repeat indefinitely, until something unexplainable happens and it'll connect and stay connected.

I have included some logs. If anyone can take a peek at this diagnose it, it'd be much appreciated.

The server/volume name is "MediaRaid"
I'm running mavericks 9.4, but had the same issue with 9.3 if that helps as well.

Thank you so much for your help!

I'll try to post some SSDTs for you soon but please boot with the card in slot one switched off from the pci switches and the 2nd card switched on (you'll have a black screen until the desktop loads) and save an ioreg for me so I can make sure to get the address right.

Hi Shilohh
Sorry, i had got a lot a work last days so i can't have the time for send you the ioreg earlier.
Is it all good for you ?

If someone could help me that would be great. My optical drive isn't being read for some reason. Why I first installed Mac OS X it was being read, but after I installed all the kexts, it wasn't.

Also, for some reason after my computer goes to sleep, my audio no longer works. Does anyone know why this might be.

I have a question about SuperDuper as well. Since I am erasing and copying all my files to backup bootable copies, I'm noticing that afterwards I also have to install Clover and all the drivers and kexts all over again. So do I have to do this every time I update my bootable copy (erase, then copy), every day? SuperDuper's free trial does not give you the option to just update missing files I believe.

Can someone give me some advice on how I can just create a bootable copy that I can use during emergencies right away without fussing with Clover and kexts?

Since this is my first build, misteravid advised me on just making a build using MultiBeast. I have tried to find other guides, but unfortunately end up getting stuck along the way. Could someone help me find a comprehensive guide on using MultiBeast for these parts?

Here you go. Mount the EFI partition and put these in EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched

I'm currently using other methods, non-sanctioned by these forums, to get my RIVBE build working. The problem is, I can't get Carbon Copy Cloner to make seamless copies of my install; I can't boot it off a USB dock, I have to boot into another OSX install and reinstall bootloaders and muck around before it'll work, etc.

I worked on Multibeast+10.8.5 setups in the past which backed up effortlessly.

Can this build (Shiloh's), be instantly backed up via CCC, and ready to go without additional work?

The problem with bootable clones is that clover (and sometimes chimera/chameleon) is installed to the drive's hidden EFI partition. If you clone the drive, you're only cloning the OS partition and not the EFI partition so your new drive won't have a bootloader. You could boot that drive using the bootloader from your USB installer but you'd have to use F8 at boot and select the USB installer to boot from it. You'll have to install a bootloader to your clone before it will boot on it's own. Just know that it will boot if you select it from a bootloader. With clover, I suggest keeping your USB installer around with a folder on it that has a back up of your theme, efi drivers, finished config.plist and all your final acpi files in it. You can use the usb stick to boot from in case you need to boot one of your OS clone drives. Once you have your clone restored back to your preferred drive, just install the bootloader, overwrite the efi driver folder, config.plist, ACPI/patched folder, and you're done. You could also boot any of your clone drives by holding down the control key while booting to reach he clover GUI and selet the clone you wish to boot instead.

This must be a Multibeast exclusive feature then? Or can the bootloader be forced to install outside of the hidden partitions?

Our machines at the studio are all Multibeasted, installer downloaded from this site, and ML or Mav, our backups are ready to go out of the dock right away. It's unbelievably powerful and I was hoping Clover can do this.

It's not a feature. It's a side effect of where the bootloader is installed. AFAIK, the only way to boot with clover in uefi is to have it installed on the EFI partition. If you wanted you could just install clover to a USB stick, make the stick your default drive in the bios, set the default boot drive to the partition name of your boot drive, and it would boot any back up as long as it had the same partition name. You could boot any other backup by choosing it from clovers GUI but you'd need to have the USB stick plugged in whenever you wanted to boot.
