Well I’m pleased to report that everything seems to be working after following all the great advice on here, BIG THANKS. Only thing left to do is to install the graphics card and drivers. Even though all I’ve done is follow instructions it still gives me a great sense of achievement. I did swap the USB Drive for a 3.0 version, not sure if that helped, but thought it worth doing anyway.

Thank you for a well-written guide. I used it to build a similar GA-H270-WiFi system and am having no trouble with it so far.

Currently waiting on a WiFi card to arrive and have not tested the USB-C port yet.

I added a GTX 1050 card after the installation was complete and after installing the NVIDIA web drivers. I am currently driving three monitors with it but would love to get that second HDMI port working so I can add a fourth.

I would also like to get the second LAN port working as well.

- MultiBeast > Drivers > Network > Intel > IntelMausiEthernet v2.3.0
The IntelMausiEthernet.kext is used for your Intel I219-V LAN port and very stable.

- MultiBeast > Drivers > Network > Intel > AppleIGB v5.3.5.3
The AppleIGB.kext is used for your Intel I211 LAN port, but can cause kernel panics.

Note: You can also try the SmallTree-Intel-211-AT-PCIe-GBE.kext instead of the AppleIGB.kext
Download SmallTree-Intel-211-AT-PCIe-GBE.kext.zip, unzip and put the kext on your desktop.
Download and run KextBeast selecting /Library/Extensions as the location.

Testing sleep today after realizing that sleep is just shutting the monitors off. The darkwake flag was not set in my config.plist so I tried setting darkwake=10 but after rebooting none of the displays worked. I remotely connected to the system and set darkwake=no and rebooted again. Now sleep works but seems to function more like a hibernate because the power supply completely shuts off. Tapping the keyboard powers on the system and returns me to the login screen within 10 seconds thanks to my SSD boot drive. I can probably live with this setting. I'm just wondering if that is how sleep is expected to work. On a Mac, sleep doesn't completely power off the system. The power button pulsates.

Installed the SmallTree first. It enabled the card. But it did not give me the same features as the primary ethernet interface.

Specifically, I can not make the MTU size larger than 1500 (to enable jumbo frames).

My question then is, are these two ethernet interfaces the same model? You refer to the primary as a 219 and the secondary as a 211.

If they are the same, why can't I enable jumbo frames?

No they are not the same model as you may have noticed they require different kexts.

Well that is interesting. So now I have to decide if I can pump more data through the ethernet port using a single interface with jumbo frames on, or by bonding the two together and using a standard frame size.

I was able to bond the two interfaces together and my switch's LACP was active.

Thanks for the clarification.

Some of the download links are broken :( any advice;
