So I seem to have rectified the "black box" issue by moving my 1060 to the proper PCIe slot, but I'm still having problems with random sluggishness. I just had to restart after my graphics "froze". I sat back down after a couple of minutes away from my desk and started switching tabs in Safari and changing desktops, and everything gets real choppy. And then it freezes. The cursor moves, but nothing happens, and some elements of the GUI are whited out. I let it sit for a few minutes before giving up and restarting. This kind of thing only happens if I don't let it "wake up" sufficiently before resuming normal use. I have everything set to never sleep, no screensaver, and I keep Night Shift off because it causes stuttering problems as well.

Is this a known Hack issue? How do I find what exactly is causing the problem? I have attached what I think are relevant Console logs. I see a GPU restart, a WindowServer entry with a "gpu hang", a "spindump" and some attempted crash reports. This never happens while I'm actually using the computer. Are nVidia drivers really this bad? Could it be Safari? I'm running 10.12.16. Web drivers are current. I had darkwake set to =0, but now I'm going to try darkwake=no.

EDIT: It's still stuttering if I leave it alone for a short amount of time. The weird thing is that I can leave it on all night just sitting, come back in the morning, and it works like it should. I don't get it.

hello
@alok0182
I have the same problem, system freezes and then restart when using video editing software... sometimes when exporting sometimes when scrolling the timeline whenever its in resolve or premiere. I'm asking myself if there could be something related with the nvidia web driver but I'm a noob here... How works your system when you disable PMDrvrv.kext ? thanks

hi
@jc87
I have solved the problem on my own. What I did was
1) Changed the BIOS, I set Min and Max CPU Cache Ratio to 30, then set CPU Input Voltage to 1.9 and CPU Core Ratio to 40 with Sync All Cores.
2) Removed PMDrvrv.kext from Kext Folder.
3) Used nv_spanmodepolicy=1 keepsyms=1 as Boot Arguments.

With those changes, I am using my system smooth and fine also got very good performance increase almost 50%.

Hello everyone. I'm new to hackintoshes and I've recently installed mine by following this guide.

My issue is that I wanted to boot into Windows due to my Clover Bootloader not being able to boot to it, I had to switch to Windows by going into my BIOS and changing the boot options from "Other OS" to "Windows UEFI".

Now, after switching back to hackintosh by switching that option back to "Other OS" again, my audio stopped working.

I tried re-downloading my the VoodooHDA.kext and copying it into my kexts/10.12 folder to no avail. It seems whatever I do to solve it, it just doesn't work.

Does anyone have any ideas?

My specs are: Mobo: Asus X99-A II
CPU: i7-6800k
GFX: Asus GTX1070 RAM: Corsair Vengeance 32GB
System Disks: a) Samsung 830 Series SSD (macOS)
b) Samsung 950 Series NVME (Windows)

Thanks in advance!

Thanks!.
Thunderbolt works, but I have 2 problems.
booting random errors with memory allocation.
I have EmuVariableUefi-64.efi and OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000.efi
without other ones.
Why I have random boot errors?
is there a newer driver to avoid this errors?

the other problem is the graphic card (Gigabyte GTX 1050 ti 4 Gb)
I can only boot with 1 monitor connected.
If I connect two monitors I get a black screen error like when you have not patched the graphics with AGDPfix.

After of booting,if I connect the second monitor, it turns on xDD.

Thanks!!!!

You can try to use AptioMemoryFix.efi instead of OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000.efi, if this solves your boot issues. AptioMemoryFix.efi is part of Clover_v2.4k_r4392.

You always have to perform an UEFI installation of Windows with exactly the same BIOS settings as recommended for OSX.

Never perform a Legacy Windows Installation on an UEFI Dual Boot System.

This will just cause troubles nobody wants.

Most important thing.. Disable CSM in the mainboard BIOS..
