Solving NVIDIA Driver Install & Loading Problems

Hi Jim,

I have a problem when booting, sometimes it crashes and sometimes it doesn't and in the crash report it says:
panic(cpu 0 caller 0xffffff7f8d3c6eab): NVRM[0/1:0:0]: Read Error 0x00070000. I have been trying to fix it but nothing worked so far... I thought maybe you could help me further because it says something about the nvidiaRAM (NVRM). The complete crash report is in the attached file. Any suggestions?

Kind regards, Kota.

I'm not sure. I have only seen that crash on my 2010 MacBook Pro which has a bad GPU switcher, the part the switches between the IGP and the Nvidia GT 310 on the fly.

Thanks for the quick response,

I think it's indeed a problem with the GPU switcher because it shuts down at the same place on the loading bar as it did when i had problem #4. Did you managed to fix the problem with the GPU switcher on your 2010 MacBook Pro or is there no fix found yet?

Kind regards Kota

There is no fix for the MacBook Pro besides replacing the logic board. Non Macs don't have that part though.

So on my hackintosh there is a piece a software that let OS X think it's there? If that's true than my boot failure is caused by a faulty piece of software right?

Kind regards Kota.

No. I'm saying I have not seen that error in a Hackintosh. My issue with my MacBook Pro is not related to your Hackintosh besides the resulting error. Yours could be caused by a bad GPU but it is really hard to diagnose.

That's a pity, If i find a way to fix it i let you know, I just saw that in the about my mac tab it also displayed that i have 0 NVRAM maybe that has something to do with it... Anyways, thanks for your time.

0MB VRAM means you have Inject Nvidia enabled when it shouldn't be.

Looks like 10.12 and nVidia 367.15.10.05f01 breaking 4k MST@60Hz support on MacMini6,2 sysdef. Perfection only lasted on Yosemite & El Cap.
Those "lucky" people with DELL UP2414Q and UP3214Q will enjoy screen off after boot. iMac14,2 will provide video output limited to 30Hz only.
Apparently AppleGraphicsDevicePolicy got nothing to do with macmini6,2 board-id, so far see no working solutions.
Open to any suggestions.

Please note that the Clover patch for AppleGraphicsDevicePolicy (Problem #4, Method #1) does not work with macOS Sierra.
