Solving NVIDIA Driver Install & Loading Problems

That exact boot flag was added once I installed the second updated driver for 10.11.6. Didn't work with the driver. Now since I'm running th first nvidia driver for 10.11.6, it works with the boot flag.

That boot flag is what tells the system to use the web drivers. To use the web drivers it must either be in your config or stored in NVRAM.

Totally get that part. I used a guide on here that had my exact motherboard, so I set it up the same way. But the F02 drivers failed to work. Since this is my first time, I noticed it had added that flag when it wouldn't boot, just restart. After removing that boot flag, and then removing the web drivers; I was able to uninstall them, reboot, and install F01 drivers which work perfectly.

I have a question which I posted here Black Screen with MacPro 6,1 or iMac 15 or iMac 17 System Definition.

Basically my dual-monitor setup boots up fine in NVIDIA web driver mode (I did run into Problem 6 in OP initially but your directions let me fix it. Awesome!), but during the boot (after the Apple logo loading screen) one of my screens goes into sleep/power saving and the only way to fix it is to turn it off and on again (or unplug and plug the DP cable again).

Any ideas how I can have my hackintosh boot with both monitors active? Input very much appreciated.

Is it a 4K screen? If not in the monitor settings, change it to DP 1.1 of it is 1.2 or vice versa.

I am pulling my hair over the black screen issue since the 10.11.6 update. Tried all three methods mentioned in the startpost, but still displays are going to sleep. I also altered every profile tot "none" to be sure, but still no cookie.

I am using the 15f02 drivers, no update available according to the Nvidia Driver Manager.

specs: i7-5820k || GA-EX99-UD4 and EVGA GTX 770Ti. Everything worked flawlessly under 10.11.5.

using the macpro 6.1 SMbios because of X99.

I am under the impression that maybe kext-dev-mode 1 might not be booting properly, is there any way to check that? Is it even required when using the clover config patch?

Edit: tried 15F01 drivers as well, still no luck. Didn't expect it to because this surely is an OS issue... I'll try replacing my AppleGraphicsDevicePolicy.kext/Contents/Info.plist with a fresh one from my macbook pro...

Edit2: tried that, still no luck. Anyone?

This solved it for me. Completely missed it and changed that setting for 1 screen because of flickering from my laptop. Many thanks!

Solved my problem bij moving AppleGraphicsControl.kext from /S/L/E to the desktop and using kextbeast to install it back into SLE...

The proper boot argument is nvda_drv=1.

What do you mean by "fake os build is 15g31"?
