Remove the device connected to USB3.0 port.

Boot with darkwake=0 -gux_defer_usb2, then check the sleep.

GUIDE : http://www.tonymacx86.com/audio/151504-no-audio-after-sleep-wake-realtek-alc-applehda-fixes.html

I haven't tried "gux_defer_usb2" but darwake didn't work for me.

I have it working on 10.10
and tried updating 10.10.3 on a seperate HDD and can't get sleep to work. I only had to add AppleHDA for sound.
Also deleted original and added GenericUSB kext, didn't do anything.
NOw I have tried nVidia web drivers , and delete NULLcpuPower kext. Rebuild cache, computer fan spins but nothing comes on screen (and computer doesn't go back to sleep once its in this limbo).

I have Gigabyte UD5H + 550ti video card.
Again - i HAVE 2 hdd, one with 10.10 and it is working.
Made a clone of it, 10.10.3 upgrade didn't work.

Any tips?

PS: I will be disconnecting all USB soon to see if it makes a difference, but I doubt it.

First check what is preventing the sleep.

Code:
pmset -g assertions

Sleeping is fine,

waking up is an issue. It spins fans but nothing comes on monitor.

Disabling Timezone didn't work (as someone mentioned)

ya thats on be default for me.

I have switched back to 10.10 for now, since that works perfect for me. I actually need to get some work done , can't be fiddling around this - plus someone else is getting "corrupted partitions" on 10.10.3 , I can't have that. I have too much data on my HDDs lol.

this finally sorted mine, many thanks, have attached results in case you suggest any changes.:thumbup::thumbup:

I have sleep/wake working but sometimes when it wakes my monitor sits a message saying "input resolution unreadable". I try disconnecting the HDMI, power cable, and power cycle it and it doesnt help. 90% of the time there are no issues (whether short sleep or long sleep). I boot with darkwake=0. anything else i might try for this?

Try to set the resolution on the configuration file of the boot loader. If it is Chimera the file is org.chameleon.boot.plist and if it is clover then the file is config.plist

Ok I looked, but my resolution is 2560x1080 and the options for Clover only show, 1920x1080, 2560x1600 then 2560x2048. Should I try 1920x1080 maybe? I don't really understand what clover wiki is saying but, should I try patching the VBios?

I figured out that when it does not recognize the resolution after a sleep, if I turn the monitor on and off about 3-4 times it will start working again.
