Silly problem I just realized. I use USBPorts.kext, but with the change to 19,1 it broke my USB3. I can boot off the port but then it's gone......strange????

quick question why 19,1? I have an i7 would 19,2 be a better choice?

Doesn't really matter. It won't make any difference either way.

@pastrychef and @itwas good news...... and thanks for your patience.

I went back and added LILU and WTG to a 19,1 smbios and it looks like things are working.
I now see hardware decoding in MPV
I see VDA Decoder fully supporting in hackintool
VideoProc now show fully enabled.

One last question..... why 19,1?? since I have the i7-8700K, would I get better results with 19,2?

Nice.

Very strange. System definition should have no impact on your USB configuration.

I made a new thread as this issue (the crashing, primarily) was fixed, but now I'm trying to figure this out:

if you would like to use mpv player

you can create a mpv.conf file in the path

~/.config/mpv/mpv.conf

mpv.conf
Code:
hwdec=videotoolbox
# or hwdec=auto

the next time you launch the mpv player, it will automatically enable HW acceleration

I've been using IINA, just a pretty face on MPV I believe. Thankfully inspectors in IINA shows HW is working.
Thanks again.

What happens when you try to sleep?

Try disabling SSDT-AWAC to see if it helps.
