THANK YOU kgp (& Pike)! Your guide has given me a (seemingly) stable customac. I have built a number of customacs but I'm no expert and must rely on the wisdom & generosity of people like you get it done. I've been lurking here for years but never really needed to jump in and ask questions since the builds just worked. Well todays the day! This thing is 99% working except one detail: a third NVMe SSD. (Sierra sees 2 of the 3 fine.)

I used these addresses (from Win10) in the nvme-patch.aml:
\_SB.PCI0.BR1B.H000 (Intel 750 #1)
\_SB.PCI0.BR2C.H000 (Intel 750 #2)
\_SB.PCI0.BR3A.H000 (Samsung 950) (Currently the Win10 boot)

The Scan Volumes section of the boot log says that Clover sees all of them:

Volume: PciRoot(0x0)\Pci(0x1,0x1)\Pci(0x0,0x0)\NVMe(0x1,00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00)
Result of bootcode detection: bootable unknown (legacy)

Volume: PciRoot(0x0)\Pci(0x1,0x1)\Pci(0x0,0x0)\NVMe(0x1,00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00)\HD(1,GPT,CAB60138-6DE0-427C-BE26-D18D6F582807,0x22,0x40000)

Volume: PciRoot(0x0)\Pci(0x1,0x1)\Pci(0x0,0x0)\NVMe(0x1,00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00)\HD(2,GPT,9C1C0E47-0250-4B96-9394-5C2631D4A0ED,0x40800,0x587AB000)

Does anybody have a theory as to whats going on? Why doesn't Sierra recognize the other disk? Is there something I could have overlooked?

Any insight is much appreciated!

a FAT-formatted USB2.0 storage device.
is fat-formatted usb2.0 required? i can recall that asus usb bios tools can also support usb3.0 with ntfs?

I follow your guide build macOS on my Asus X99 Deluxe II. But Xcode cant work well. When I use Debug Memory Graph in Xcode 8, it will crash. And I think here are some bugs with Nvdia webdrivers, it cause some error when I use Debug View Hierarchy and Instruments that build in Xcode 8. Any one any idea ?

Stupid question... Is there anybody with a Gigabyte mobo and a Broadwell-E CPU like the i-7-6800K, i7-6850L, i7-6900K or the i7-6950X, who could try sleep/wake on his system? I just would like to exclude that the current freeze/reboot problem on wake is due to the processor. All friends (@hooked or @erlipton05 ) with success on sleep/wake with Gigabyte mobos use Haswell-E processors.

Cheers,

KGP

I have a E5-2618Lv4 coming (I hope) - lost in USPS transit right now. If I receive it, I'll check it out.

Just submitted RMA for that dead GA-X99-SLI board :/ also couldnt figure out why the second identical board had USB kernal panics, just gave up with it. Working BEAUTIFULLY (minus sleep/wake) on my ASRock x99m Extreme4

Did you try my new sleep/wake configuration for the ASRock x99m Extreme4?

Cheers,

I have no experience related to your Xcode 8 issue. Anybody else on the board can reply on this specific question and issue?

Hey @kgp, I just updated my BIOS to 3501 and now the bastard wont wake up any more. Ha!

I followed your guide and everything seems to be working properly, but I can't seam to get resolutions above 1366x768. I have a X99-E Asus board with Nvidia 1060 with the Nvidia driver installed. Any suggestions?

Did you check whether or not you properly restored all required BIOS settings after the BIOS update?

Which one is the right USB slot? I checked the manual and I use the port directly below the flashback button but I'm stuck with the same problem... Light starts to blink, after three seconds constant light but no update process...

I assume that you did not check your mobo manual, otherwise you would not write that it is the USB board directly below the flashback button.
