There was none at all. But it is fixed / sorted now.

That app (Kext Utility) rebuilds the kernel cache and repairs file permissions for kexts. Whenever we add, replace, or delete files from /Library/Extensions we must run Kext Utility to rebuild the kernel cache. The kernel cache can also be rebuilt from Terminal, but Kext Utility is much easier.Did all that. I had no output options at all. I ran a kext cache remover, and that seems to of done the trick though.
Not sure what you are referring to...If anyone knows of a Thuderbolt fix though, I'd be very interested to hear!
First of all, welcome to the forum and kudos for starting Page 666 of this thread! I certainly hope that is not a bad omen for your foray into this world...@CaseySJ - I'm new to the community and have been reading through many threads and landed on building your setup. First of all, thanks for all of the time that you put into this - everyone here is such an incredible resource!
It's my first time doing a hackintosh setup but most of it seems pretty straightforward as long as the directions a followed correctly. I have a few dumb questions though:
No problem at all. You can still connect a physical Ethernet cable and log in to iCloud, set up your email accounts, and be otherwise connected to the internet. When the Fenvi arrives, it is a matter of plug-and-play. No additional drivers or tweaks to the system are needed.1. I ordered the Fenvi BT/Wifi adapter but it won't be here for a while...is it ok to build the system and install MacOS per your guide and install the adapter afterwards?
Yes, but MultiBeast will automatically mount the EFI Partition of the Mojave SSD. If for some reason it is not mounted, you may use any of a number of methods to mount it manually (including Clover Configurator --> Mount EFI).2. In the post-installation modification of config.plist with Clover, is that done after mounting the EFI?
Yes you can, but then you veer off the build guide, so just be very careful. If FakeSMC gets installed anyway, it should be removed from both /Library/Extensions and CLOVER/kexts/Other. In addition, SMCHelper.efi should be removed from CLOVER/drivers64UEFI should you find it there.3. If I want to use VirtualSMC, can I forego the installation of the FakeSMC plugins in MultiBeast and follow the other instructions to install VirtualSMC post-installation?
You can certainly make it headless during post-installation. Hackintool can be used at that stage to insert the requisite entries into devices --> Properties. Then be sure to uncheck Inject Intel and clear any other settings in the Graphics page of Clover Configurator.4. Is there a way to modify the system to make it headless in Clover during the post-installation modifications? Or do I have to use the Hackintool patch as outlined in one of your posts?
Yes, Auto brightness control works perfectly. Just FYI, I also have the new LG Ultrafine 5K monitor (which works with the new iPad as well ) and it works like a charm full 5k, everything works.Hello!
@CaseySJ I've been waiting for this moment! Looks like finally we got an "Apple" display that can run DP1.4 through TB3.
1. I'm assuming this makes it officially compatible with any GPU that supports DP1.4 so you only need to have TB3 (with Titan Ridge) on your hackintosh as well. No more fancy and weird 2x DP1.2 streams... yaaay!. Anyone got the new LG 5k and tried it?
2. I've read on this thread that apparently somehow the LG 5K got Auto brightness adjustment in the preference panel. Any idea why? Was it with a new installation? Or was it the new 5k?. This was the other deal breaker for me. Can you confirm it @sidhellman? (you can use your phone flashlight and aim it to the camera to check it out)
Thanks so much!
Thank you
for your help
I have updated the system from 10.4.5 to 10.4.6
the 8-pin CPU power cable to the ATX_12V_2X4 connector is correct
the LEDs turn on the VGA and DRAM and the VGA only stays on.
When turning on it looks black and after a while the operating system Macox 10.4.6 appears I put the key and it works.
But Clover is no longer visible to select boot disk or by pressing the F12 key or the delete key the BIOS is not visible. If I put the memory by default it goes well but when putting in the bios profile 1 clover does not appear nor can I enter the bios.
If I put
