Macbook pro,it works well with gigabyte designare z390.
I can't go home because of the coronavirus pandemic, and I only have this thunderbolt device around, and connecting the MacBook Pro and other Apple devices is also important to me.

I don’t think you can add a MacBook as a Thunderbolt device target disk. @CaseySJ ?

Some comments:

• In BIOS, try setting Thunderbolt Boot Support to Boot Once or anything other than Disabled.
• Regarding the MacBook Pro:
  • Are you setting it into Target Disk Mode from System Preferences --> Startup Disk?
  • When you reboot the MacBook Pro, does it enter Target Disk Mode?
  • If so, do you then connect Thunderbolt cable to the Hackintosh?
• If there is only one Thunderbolt port on your system, is DSB4 deleted from Thunderbolt SSDT?
  • Simply search SSDT for "DSB4". If it exists, delete the entire Device. This is not strictly necessary, but should be done to avoid defining a device that does not exist.

It is possible, but requires a flashed GC-Titan Ridge controller (i.e. Thunderbolt Bus and Thunderbolt Switch must both be enabled).

It works also with unfleshed Alpine Ridge and SSDT method.

(i211 Ethernet port & Monterey)
I added the new SmallTree kext to my OC 0.8.0 EFI, and enabled it in OC Configurator.

After a reboot(several, cleared NVRAM, rebuilt cache, etc), the non-functional Apple driver still attaches to the i211 port, with a 2.5 GT/s, not the SmallTree kext from the EFI.

What am I missing? Do I need an new trick to make this work in Monterey?

For a few days now, I also don't have working Ethernet ports anymore. I'm running macOS 12.3.1 and OC 0.8.0 and went back to OC0.7.9 without success on the Ethernet ports.

I've also done the Clean NVRAM and rebooted many times. I'm not sure what to do. Can you help troubleshooting @CaseySJ

PS: both Ethernet ports work fine on my Windows 11 boot.

i211 port works fine in Big Sur with the old SmallTree driver.

I have question. Can I connect Nvidia card on slot 1 and my RX 580 AMD to slot 2?
I will use slot 1 for Windows and slot 2 for macOS.
Any suggestions for the required configuration in BIOS and/or in EFI?
