Solving NVIDIA Driver Install & Loading Problems

Have you gone through the steps to enable NVRAM support?

Unless I need to do more than add EmuVariableUefi-64 and Install RC scripts then yes I have.

without Inject Nvidia it will not boot(took me 5 try's to boot...it end up booting). now it only recognize a Display 8MB, but not my GTX950.
with the Inject Nvidia enable, i saw the correct video card but 0 on MB

Inject Nvidia should be false. It won't boot because the driver isn't loading which is why is says 8MB.

Can anyone help? I install the driver manger, it works after the first reboot as it should be. But there after it won't load after from the 2nd boot onward....

On sierra 10.12.1,X99Deluxe,E5-2696v4

Please see attached pic for the problem..

Hey Guys, I'm struggling to get my system working perfectly. When I boot via HDMI (and display port connected) it boots correctly in 4k though I can't run at 60hz. If I switch over to the connected display port it displays in 4k though is also at 30hz. I can disconnect the HDMI and it will continue to work fine, though still at 30hz.

My main problem is that if I boot via display port the resolution is at 800x600 and I can't change it. It looks like the monitor isn't detected. I've attached a screenshot. Any ideas? I have tried different system definitions, the AGDPFix, timing fixes, etc. I’m completely stuck and don’t know what else to try.

I have a Nvidia 980ti and am running a system definition of imac17,1. My monitor is a 4k dell UP2414Q that is capable of running at 4k 60hz. I’ve also attached my config file.

Thank you very much for the help!

Hope this is a quick one. I seem to have PROBLEM 2, but the solution is to download the correct driver, which I have done, but it tells me it's the wrong one... still. *sigh*

When attempting to install NVIDIA Web Driver for 10.12.1 (367.15.10.15f01), I get the error: "Mac OS X version is not compatible".

Native graphics on the motherboard work fine in 4K. I'm a glutton for punishment trying to get this video card working. Any advice is appreciated. :)

It has been added with the relevant build number. This was an issue where Apple released a silent update to 10.12.1 which doesn't update for everyone, only those who ran the update a few days after 10.12.1 was released.

I'm having trouble finding any reference to this online, but my El Cap build number shows as 15G1208 and there doesn't seem to be an NVIDIA driver that comes close to that.

Any ideas or help much appreciated as I've got a GTX 950 waiting to be installed in my Mac Pro 4,1 (so can't upgrade to Sierra).
