Things got weirder…

When trying to replicate the error for you it booted just fine. I restarted/shutdown 3 more times, with the USB 3 still plugged in and it was fine. So I moved to another USB 3 port and it paniced again, but even once the USB 3 was removed it continued to panic 4 times before eventually going to desktop.

This is the PCI card I bought - [AMAZON-uk]http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00B6ZCNGM/[/AMAZON-uk]

I'm using this USB 3 hub, with a WD 2TB Passport drive plugged into it - [AMAZON-uk]http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00FR795WA/[/AMAZON-uk]

I haven’t removed the genericusbxhci kext yet, because I can’t get any sort of consistency with each boot. Here is the View attachment Report.txt

Strange, the report points to the graphics driver as the culprit. I suggest you try a couple things one at a time and test effects of each before moving on to the next.

1) Look for a web driver update. If none exist, try installing the previous version to the one you are on.

2) Remove the generic USB xhci kext and rebuild the kext caches.

3) Remove the USB hub.

I was noticing some stuttering of video playback in Premiere CC, and occasionally some out of sync playback in Quicktime, so maybe the graphics driver is causing all sorts of issues. There's a newer NVIDIA driver available, I'll give that a go.

How do I rebuild the kext caches?

Wow, I just picked up my Samsung NVMe drive. Holy cow is this thing fast! Thanks to everyone for the info about this drive; it's a winner for sure.

I went with the same PCIe board linked to below, but I clicked the 256GB version of the SSD. They both were available via Prime; so I got them overnight. I think my total cost was like $218.

I downloaded and installed this kext:

http://www.macvidcards.com/nvme-driver1.html

After reboot it came right up! So easy. First test was 900MB/s write speed and 2,200MB/s read. Cool!

I'm not testing boot yet; as I'll probably just stick with my VelociRaptor boot disk, and this one for a work area.

So, just to confirm, we are talking about this:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01A38B4KI

Plus this:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01639694M

Is that correct? I'm giving up on my Accelsior as it seems to be defective and looking for other options.

EDIT: First real world test: Decompressed a 6.5GB .tar.gz file with 3 Million files in it. Took hours to decompress yesterday on the VelociRaptor. I just decompressed in 6 minutes. Oh SO nice to have a fast SSD again.

Hi MK500 I wonder if you can post some screenshots of your current Bios OC. I have the v490s and for some reason the geekbench is showing 14404 instead of 22500 like before, not sure if is the config file the problem.

Hi Shilohh! It's been a while, Im trying to resurrect my system again. Everything went smooth so far but at this moment the only usb 3 functional are the USB (Inateck Superspeed 4 Ports PCI-E to USB 3). I OC my board at 42 all the cores but for some reason it's not reflecting in my system benchmark.

Good to have you back. I would just forget about the onboard ports. If you really want them you can play with other versions of GenericUSBXHCI.

Did you use the config and SSDT-9 for the 3930K?
