What OS X, Web Driver, and Resolve versions are you using?
I'm using OS X 10.11.2, with the Nvidia web driver 346.03.04f02 and Resolve 12.3.

I didn't see on the web any compatibility problems with this versions together...

Mount the EFI partition.

Delete EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched/DSDT.aml.

Shut down.

Install PCI hardware.

Start up.

Make new DSDT.

Restart.

Beautiful. Thank you!

Hi shilohh,

Once again, you made my 10.11.3 upgrade easier, thanks a lot.
But I have some questions.
My MB is an Asus X79-Deluxe with 902 bios and I have a 4930K processor.
You made for me a DSDT patch (X79D_DSDT_Patch_06-2014v4) few times ago.

Now I've upgraded my system to latest El Capitan (10.11.3), I wonder if everything is still fine.
Because I've downloaded your AsusX79Files and I see a lot of things for your R4E which I don't have at all.

What I have:
  • /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.11/AppleIntelE1000e.kext (3.3.3)
  • /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.11/EAPDFix.kext (2.2)
  • /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.11/FakeSMC.kext (6.18.13.94)
  • /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.11/GenericUSBXHCI.kext (1.2.11)
  • /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.11/realtekALC.kext
  • /S/L/E/X79MacPro61SpeedStep.kext
  • /EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched/DSDT.aml (patched with your X79D_DSDT_Patch_06-2014v4 patch)
  • /EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched/SSDT-1.aml (your GPU file)
  • /EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched/SSDT-8.aml (your USB2 patch)
  • /EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched/SSDT-9.aml (file I generated with ssdtPRGen 13.5 few months ago)

So I wonder:
  • If my El Capitan install sounds good to you ?
  • If my DSDT is still good for El Capitan, is the patch up to date ?
  • If I need to put all the AICPM patch I can see in your config.plist ? What is this patch ?
  • If I need to do something special to get all my USB3 ports working or to see them in System Information ?
  • If I can use your zsensors fix ?
  • Is the AirPortBrcm4360 pach usefull for internal BT / Wifi ?

Thanks,

Hi Tom5150,

I've changed a lot of things since then.

I can make updated files for your board if you do the following.

1) Boot to the Clover GUI. Press F4 key and wait 5 seconds. Boot into OS X.

2) Mount Clover's EFI partition. Copy the EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched folder to the desktop. Zip patched and post it.

Here is the requested folder (but you need origin folder and not the patched one, right ?)
I've attached as well the patch you made few months/years ago.

Back Up and Delete your old DSDT. Use all R4BE files except for SSDT-0. Use the Attached SSDT-0 instead. Open DSDT.aml from the origin folder and use the attached patch list to create a new DSDT that is compatible with all the rest of the new ACPI files. Make sure that none of the files from the AsusX79Files/Install/R4BE/EFI-CLOVER/kexts/Other folder are present in /System/Library/Extensions (Delete them if they are, and rebuild kext caches).

If all goes well for you, I will add them to the next file update in the OP and continue to update them in the future.

NOTE about the Asus X79-Deluxe: If I remember correctly, you can not completely disable all the onboard USB 3.0 ports in the BIOS. The USB 3.0 ports cause a kernel panic at boot in 10.11 unless you have a functioning GenericUSBXHCI kext installed. If the GenericUSBXHCI stops working in a future version of OS X (it has broken a few times in the past), you will need to wait for a update to the kext before updating to that version of OS X. If you update OS X and wind up with a USB related kernel panic, it is probably because the GenericUSBXHCI broke again.

Heading out on another road trip so I will be less available than usual.

Thanks a lot for your files shilohh :)
Everything is working fine except 2 things:
- all my front usb3 ports are not working
- my iMessage doesn't work

Enjoy your trip.

PS: you're right with USB3, I will have to take care of the future OSX updates !
