Double Trouble: Ports Not Working, Drives Running but not Clover Accessible

Hello Everyone,

I recently made a Mojave Hackintosh build that includes the RX Vega 64, an Intel 9900, and the GB Designare Z390. I've included a list of all parts. (see screenshot)

Everything seems to be working fine except the following….

1. Most USB ports. I can plugin my keyboard just fine but not any external drives. They will receive power but will not mount on the desktop.

2. My CPU is unknown in the “About This Mac” section. (see screenshot)

I understand that there are several fixes for both these issues including:

However when I try to discover my computer disk “Hackintosh” in Clover I cannot find it. Also when I try to mount & open the other existing options they do not respond. (see screenshots)

Does my computer “Hackintosh” have a different name in Clover that I am unaware of?
Honestly I am new to all this, so any help would be much appreciated. Cheers!

There may be more than one problem here.

Firstly, do a search here for "Samsung 970 Pro". A lot of members report problems using the Pro or Plus versions of this new SSD.

Secondly, let us know how you installed macOS.

Lastly, your USB problem seems related to which ports have been configured successfully. Have you tried the USBInjectAll kext along with the Port-Limit Removal Patch? Without your bespoke SSDT or kext, this should make all ports available (probably something like 26 in total).
