I've really tried searching for answers here, but I just can't seem to get it to work.
After all the things I've tried I've gotten to this weird state where if I boot with both monitors connected, it works fine for like 30 seconds after the system is fully booted, then the second screen...
First of all, I'm incredibly thankful for this forum and all of the resources. I haven't built computers since I was like 16, and back then it was almost exclusively PC, so I could never have figured any of this stuff out on my own.
Yesterday I thought I had a perfectly working...

Ive had my Hackintosh up and running for about 6 months now. I recently bought another display and I can't seem to get both displays working at the same time. There is so much information out there and it's hard to tell what is old and/or outdated advice.
My main display is...
After hours of trial and error my first main build is pretty much complete (not including networking as i've just ordered an iMac network card). Works fine with one monitor, animations are a tiny bit glitchy but nothing i'm too concerned about, and i'm definitely running the NVidia...
I successfully completed my first build but I have issues with the dual screen:
- It cannot boot properly with 2 screens: I see the Gigabyte Screen, the clover screen (mirrored) and then it's black screen
- It crashs when I add a second monitor at runtime (even if it worked...
Good news, I found out how to get dual monitors on HD530 but.. I ran into a couple of other problems.
All I did was set IntelGFX (under devices) as my ig-platform-id which is 0x19120000.
That allowed me to get past the apple boot logo, login screen, and reach the desktop for both screens...

I was wondering if there's a work around in Clover to enable dual monitor (1 hdmi, 1 dvi) on my
AMD Radeon R9 290X? Everything works fins with one monitor but once I connect the other I just get a blank screen. Thank you!

I lately upgraded my system to the Specs you see in my profile.
I was installing High Sierra today, and almost everything works fine.
Due to the fact the AMDs Polaris Cards need the iGPU as a helper card (as far as I know!), I connected a secondary monitor onto the motherboard's VGA connector...
Hello all. I'm building a video editing workstation. I was about to buy a EVGA GTX 1050 but I read a lot of issues with that card.
Will the GTX 1060 be better due to having multiple DVI ports?
Should I go for a "Maxwell" card for better compatibility?
I'm pleased to hear suggestions.
I have been running my hackintosh for about a year or so, and whenever I wake up my mac from a "display sleep" (not a system sleep). My "WindowServer" process consumes a ton of CPU usage. Also from time to time one of the screens will fail to "wake up", or when it does wake up then all the...
