    How to abort Mojave update?

I passed my old hackintosh on to my Dad (2500k, H61 mobo, HD5750) with the strict instructions to not do any major updates without asking me first. So of course the phone rings the other day - "I've broken my computer". Looking around it seems all I need is a GT710 gpu but that's going to have...

    GA-H67MA-USB3-D3 / 2500K - Easiest Hackintosh Ever!

Hi there Amoretam. I followed the 2011 Mac Mini guide, but with a different board and case. I don't use wireless on this machine - I'm hardwired. Anyone got any comments on sleep behaviour with the new DSDT's?

    GA-H67MA-USB3-D3 / 2500K - Easiest Hackintosh Ever!

*BUMP* Still on 10.7.3 because I've not fancied mucking around to get the SSDT stuff sorted. However, I did update the BIOS to F8 and install the new DSDT to supposedly sort out the USB wake-from-sleep issues. It's made not a jot of difference - has anyone who's installed one of these new...

Looking to add a graphics card to existing Hackintosh

Anyone else? I'm looking at the EVGA GTX 550ti at the moment.

Looking to add a graphics card to existing Hackintosh

Evening all. My Core i5 Hack has been running brilliantly for several months now with the HD3000 graphics, but one of the intended uses of my hack was a bit of gaming. I was pretty set on a Radeon 6850/70 but now that Apple are intending to move back to Nvidia I've been a bit tempted. What's...

HDCP not Working with HD3000 on GA-H67N-USB3-B3/i5 2405S

I am also experiencing the same issue with my Hack. Only came up last night when I decided to redeem the digital copies that had come with some of my Blu-Ray's. HD3000 on a Gigabyte H67.

    HD 3000 Video Artefacts

And yet on my 2500k I had a few artefacts on Day 1, a couple on Day 2 and nowt since then. So some people have a slick experience.

Jfuco: Try specifying the graphics mode of your TV in Chimera. I forget what the exact flag is, but I'm presuming your TV is 720p (1280x720) and your monitor 1080p (1920x1080)?

I think as long as you go into a Hackintosh with your eyes open then that's what matters. Personally, the system I built for £500 is significantly more powerful than a Mac mini, is expandable, has an optical drive and even gave me the pleasure of letting me build it in the first place. I'm one...

    GA-H67MA-USB3-D3 / 2500K - Easiest Hackintosh Ever!

I'll try disconnecting the drive tonight and see if auto sleep works - thanks for that! <edit> Nope, didn't make any difference Is there anything that can be done about the forcible USB drive unmount when sleeping? It's become a bit annoying... :(

Official CustoMac Mini 2011 Guide and Notes (in progress)

Which network driver did you choose? I've personally had best results with the Lynx driver, but ymmv Depends what you mean by 'improved' graphics. If you're getting a lot of artefacts from the HD3000 then yes. My artefacts disappeared after the first few days and haven't returned. If...

Mac Mini 2011... Experience needed :)

Just to throw my tuppence in - I had a few artifacts when I first built the system, but they seem to have been showing up less and less for some reason - I've had none for 3 days now, and I've resumed from sleep and rebooted. Weird.

    GA-H67MA-USB3-D3 / 2500K - Easiest Hackintosh Ever!

Glad you made the system sleep. I'm afraid that I've not touched discrete graphics on my Hack yet, and when I do I'll be going for one of the easy OOB cards like a 6870 so I've got nothing useful to add, apart from best of luck!

Interesting. Yes, I'm using the Macmini system definition, as it apparently gives best results with Intel HD3000. Have you got a Darkwake=0 in your chameleon plist? Multibeast 1.7 seems to put one there by default.

And as a footnote, my bluetooth keyboard even works with the BIOS which surprised me greatly! On booting in to OSX it whinges about not being able to find the keyboard, but this disappears after you press the spacebar.

    GA-H67MA-USB3-D3 / 2500K - Easiest Hackintosh Ever!

This has to have been the easiest thing ever. I had waaaaaay more issues when I built a Win7 MCE box two years ago. This took about 3 hours going at a very leisurely pace as I was chatting with my grandad the whole time! From this: Untitled by ShadowTD, on Flickr Gigabyte GA-H67MA-USB3-B3...

This is the board I built on yesterday. Updated to F4 BIOS using Q-flash and install was very easy, just needed npci=0x2000 and PCIRootID=1 as the boot flags when booting from the Unibeast stick.
