Hi all!
I have a Sapphire Radeon HD 7870 & Gigabyte GA-Z77x-D3H.
When I boot with the IGPU works fine. But when I boot with HD 7870 the display show "No Signal" after apple bootload.

What can I do?

Thanks!!

I have both two 7970's and 7970X2. But for hackintosh I use single 7970 which is supportred by 10.8.3

I did it!!!

I install Mountain Lion 10.8.3. MultiBeast 5.2.1 and Clover trunk with CloverGrower.
No need extra configuration, Clover detects my 7870. Only sleep/wake needed.

1xDVI, 1xDP & HDMI in 3 monitors works fine!

when you go into the bios press f1 for advanced settings click on the pci slot section and select igfx the setting will stay but the setting for internal graphics always reverts but i was able to make some progress with my 7970 that way but still cant get it to boot maybe you will have better progress.. i even tried using my old 5870 as boot card and just get stuck in a boot loop.. hate to say it but ive given up for now

I haven't tried this yet, but I want to give you a preliminary "Thank you!" before I forget. It sounds like your advice will help, booting from the USB stick is pretty annoying. Thanks!

EDIT: F1 only opens the "help" menu... My motherboard may be different from yours, though.

I can explain step by step what you did
I can not make it work
only with -x with cameleon i can get into desktop
with clover, the screen goes black

for many users has been very simple. I can not figure out what is wrong

can you help me please

Just got my Sapphire Vapor-X 7970 3GB working. Well mostly. I need to boot from Unibeast otherwise gibberish before boot loader. GraphicsEnabler=No. Couple questions:

Anyone seeing temp of GPU with 7xxx? Fan speeds are working fine and Heaven sees temp but not iStat Menu.
If I have no monitor plugged into my internal graphics the Init Display IGFX doesn't stick in BIOS. Is that normal?

Bench mark seems good.

Status: Working. Kind of.

I can't seem to get it out of mirror mode, and the System Information tab isn't displaying any useful information.

There is no option for unchecking mirroring.

I checked my Kext files, and only ATI7000Controller.kext had Device ID strings. That one included 0x68181002 in the strings section, so I don' t think that should be the problem. I also checked ATIFramebuffer.kext and ATISupport.kext, but neither of them had Device ID strings. Do anyone have any other recommendations?

The bootloader on my main drive and will only boot with Chimera on USB. On my Gigabyte Motherboard I have set the integrated graphics as primary as well as disabled.

And if I try to boot in anything other than GraphicsEnabler=No -x, I get errors.

GraphicsEnabler=No goes to a white screen. For a moment there are falling red lines, then nothing except straight white, and I cannot get my system to sleep (at least not without scripting). Sound works, though.

GraphicsEnabler=Yes gives me a black screen.

GraphicsEnabler=Yes -x gives me a black screen.

GraphicsEnabler=No -x WORKS!!!

GraphicsEnabler=Yes -x -v gives me a few lines of the usual -v booting display, but the rest of the screen is random garbage. Not even characters, just something that looks like frozen colored static.

GraphicsEnabler=No -x -v, gives me the same as GraphicsEnabler=Yes -x -v

GraphicsEnabler=No -v, gives me the same as GraphicsEnabler=Yes -x -v

GraphicsEnabler=Yes -v, gives me the same as GraphicsEnabler=Yes -x -v

I have pictures of most of these errors, if anyone needs more specific information.

pressing f1 for me takes me to the 3d bios which on my board is called advanced mode.. still doesnt make any sense to me on why the setting for init display will stick there but if i change it in the regular bios it always reverts on reboot
