[SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

Hmmmm this is strage because:
-with orginal rom when i put pendrive (usb2) to my USB 3.1 (A) port then it work with hotplug (in windows and mac) with your rom it dont work at all.
-about the screen, i have connected my DP port from ati radeon to DP input in Thunderbolt card, as i said before in windows i have Cinema Display working but in osx not. My DP port working very well because i use older Cinema Display with normal DP cable.
- i dont have any other thunderbolt devices. But i tested the Thunderbolt Display and it working with full hotplug (usb ports in this display)
Attached ZIP contains two additional modifications:
  • asus 3.0 bios original thunderbolt-MOD-3.bin
  • asus 3.0 bios original thunderbolt-MOD-4.bin
Feel free to try them one by one. Remember to perform (a) cold boot and then (b) reboot. Then check which devices or functions work or still don't work.

HackinDROM's beta is now the official version.
All known GUI and kernel bugs has been fixed today.
The old version is still and will always be available at http://hackindrom.zapto.org/old

Looking good!! One quick comment: When we select a pre-defined Controller from the pop-up menu, it would be nice to have the Vendor name and Device name fields already populated. They are coming up empty at the moment.

I'm looking to find some kind of multi-SSD PCIE adapter for this built. It's looking a bit fiddly to get it working though from the research I've done online. Does anyone have any experience? With something like this for ex:

Cheers!

I'll fix that soon for sure!

@CaseySJ
What about TB UID? actually I put random UID every time before you compile, even if you upload your own file it will be a new random numbers, should I extract TB UID of uploaded files or leave it like now?

It would be best to extract TB UID from uploaded files. Although I have not yet seen a case for keeping UID constant, I just feel it's best not to generate new UID automatically if a user already has one.

Okay, extracting TB UID for uploads, and new UID for pre-defined controllers

Sure, please check/try this:
  • Disable any _INI to XINI renames.
  • Disable any _OSI to XOSI renames.
  • Disable any _RMV to XRMV renames.
  • Perform a cold start with and without Thunderbolt device connected.
  • Check System Information --> Thunderboltand post screenshot each time.
    • The screenshot shows us Link Status of each port -- this is important.
Hi @CaseySJ,

First I disabled all renames per your instruction, and performed cold starts. I couldn't find anything about the link status:
  • With TB device connected, I got "no drivers are loaded".
  • Otherwise, "no hardware are found"
I'm afraid that the SSDT you provided cannot be loaded without those renaming patches - I checked the boot log and found an ACPI error that `_INI` already existed (attached here).

Thanks,
mistw
