hi related to main FCPX usage the AMD gpus are much better than nvidia...Hi,
I upgraded my GPU from Radeon HD 7970 to Nvidia GTX 980Ti as I heard it should be much faster.
But the reality is different. The BruceX 5k gave me 31s with the 7970 and 52s with the GTX 980Ti.
I have read somewhere that there should be a vast (about 200%) improvement in the GTX performance with upgrading Sierra from 10.12.3 to 10.12.4 ... and so I upgraded to 10.12.6 and the performance went up by 27% but not 200% ...
Is there anybody who knows how to improve the GTX 980Ti performance? I suppose there must be something wrong ...
I also don't know if the results posted from other users come from the 5K version of the test or not ...
Acutally this is well known, but I have seen many reports of high performance results with the GTX 980Ti. So my results seem to be quite strange. When You look into Compubench, You will see that in OpenCL the GTX 980Ti is one of the best GPU's and should beat the 7970 by 1.7x. When You run LuxMark, the GTX980Ti gets better results by 32%, compared to the Radeon 7970.hi related to main FCPX usage the AMD gpus are much better than nvidia...
