I did try and boot up the clover USB on my 'real mac' and it was fine. Thanks!

Did you check whether or not you properly installed clover on your USB, as suggested by @rui.sousa.46? Your USB installation medium will boot on any mac without Clover. However, on your hack, Clover and a complete EFI partition is absolutely mandatory for a successful boot of your system!

I'm pretty sure I have installed Clover in the correct drive. When I try booting up my mac holding down the option key, I can see and select the EFI partition disk.

I will try again with another USB drive.

my apologies guys. I did missed a important step as pointed out by
rui.sousa.46. I feel bad now....

Sorry think you misunderstood why windows, so I will clarify.

I misunderstood part of your guide. It was not clear you couldn't install directly to an NVMe. I think I understand this part now and will try again. Thanks.

However, the bios still wont see the 960 Pro with CSM disabled so I will probably be in that position after I install to a SSD first, then going through your M.2 Guide.

My friend has two 960 Pro disks on Asus X99-A II running well with OS X. Make sure you follow the kgp guide regarding installation on NVME disks.

Thanks Beep. Like I mentioned it wasn't clear to me that the install was not directly to the NVMe drive.

How does your friend have 2 960 pro disks running in the x99-a ii, it has only one slot. Is it two different machines?

An additional PCIe card I guess....

If it works now, then, hurray! Keep the goodfight!

On another note, KGP, my man, what I'm about to say makes no sense to me, but.... It is what it is.

I did have OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000.efi and OsxAptioFixDrv-64.efi (don't remember why...) and as suggested, didn't needed the two, and only the *-free2000.efi to boot properly. Absolutely true. But, when I do reboot the computer, no screen (2 monitors) comes up at the login section (pre login, it still shows the verbose text). If only one monitor is hooked up, it works, and after login I connect the other and everything works.

With both OsxAptioFixDrv, both screens work at boot.

It's one of those things that not make a diference, since I restart it maybe once a month, but, here's the note. It's magic or witchcraft.

I'll do further testing as soon as I kind reboot the machine... again...

Since I didn't read the entire thread, and you can crucify me for that, did anyone managed to put the 3.1 usb-c to use?
My usb-c adapter doesn't seem to work, but, I have a HDD dock that doesn't work well with this machine so... maybe something else.

a.) OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000.efi and OsxAptioFixDrv-64.efi are not meant to work together! You should use solely OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000.efi. OsxAptioFixDrv-64.efi might cause random reboots.

b.) To fix your display issue try to go with Optional Audio Configuration I - AppleALC and SSDT-HDMI.aml, which you have to create manually, following @shilohh 's guide and method. The latter method might also fix your display issue. Just have a look and try.

c.) I have no USB3.1 device for testing, so I do not know the answer...

My Problem
When trying to install OS X I put my boot flags and it comes back with
**********************************************
This version of Mac OS is not supported on this platform!
**********************************************
Reason: Mac-f42c88c8

so I started looking in the options in clover and when I got to SMBIOS it said that my product name and broad version was MacPro3,1 so I changed it to 6,1 now all I get is this +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I lost at this point

Please carefully read and follow my guide! It seems you did not. MacPro 6.1 is the default setting! Don't tell me it is 3.1 if you use the config.plist of ptzulu! I am not able to help you, if you do not apply what I write and suggest! This also relates to +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Cheers,

KGP
