What BIOS are you on? Can you post your "patched" folder please.
I'm running 4901.

Here's the folder. I included the DSDT and SSDT-0. I've run both together and single along with the other SSDTs for GFX, USB fix, and PM with the same result. Thanks for taking a look.

Any method to update 10.11.3 for P9X79PRO
Make sure you have the newest SSDT for your GPU (AsusX79Files/Post Install/2 ACPI/Nvidia Kepler (4port) HDMI GPU SSDT) installed in EFI/CLOVER/acpi/patched. Any method should work. Install combo update (my preference), use appstore update, or download full version from appstore and run the app. Restart.

Try this SSDT-0 with and then without the DSDT if the Intel SATA ports don't load.

Please report your results.

EDIT: Replaced attachment.

It works with and without. I took a look at the SSDT and see that you added the SAT0. Thanks for doing that!

Just added a DSM method to fake the device ID to intel 8 series. My ports have always worked without this but since it's make or break for yours, I'll updates the guide's files with it.

Hi Shilohh and everyone.

I woke up this morning and suddenly my machine will not load Yosemite any longer. It will get to the Apple logo and progress bar, but just around the half way point my monitors suddenly say no signal.

There was an outstanding security release (latest Security update for Yosemite) that had been constantly asking me to install, which I never did simply because I didn't have anytime lately to deal with anything happening. I am not sure how it could have installed itself automatically since I have had auto updates off forever.

Can anyone please provide assistance. I am running Clover but I can't remember what version.

I tried going into option under Clover and adding the switch GraphicsEnabler=Yes because I know I used to need to do that when I was running Chameleon, but I don't remember ever needing that under Clover.

My system has been rock solid for a really long time under Clover. So not sure what could be going on.

------------------------------
Edit:

Ok guys, as I suspected, somehow my system was in fact updated with whatever the latest security update was for Yosemite. So this definitely caused my morning headaches.

I was able to use nv_disable=1 to get back in. Not sure why I needed to use this but after that I ran AGDPfix and I can now get past the loading screen and login properly again after reboot.

Two things of concern now are that my sound and Trim support seemed to have gotten knocked out. In System Report I don't even see Trim listed at all. Not even Trim Support=No, which I thought it used at least show something about Trim before. So I am gathering that means it got knocked out.

I see that there have been several updates to the install process on the home page of this thread. I don't remember doing Step 9C to fix audio before, but if I mount EFI and run this now is there any potential danger to other stuff getting overwritten?

In case you need the info, I am on RIVE not Black Edition and I have Intel 3970x.

Thanks

I installed the combo 11.3 patch updated the NVIDIA drivers (via the preference pane), rebooted with nv_disable=1 flag and ran the AGDPfix.

All working again. Did not need to reinstall my Audio.

If you install the correct HDMI GPU SSDT (from the newest updated files download on the OP) for your graphics card, you won't need to use AGDPfix.app anymore.

Hey Shilohh,

Thank you for the response. I am not using HDMI for video or audio. Both of my monitors are using DVI. Do I still need to install new SSDT?
