The setting you are looking for is the correct layout-id for your codec, so AppleALC.kext makes your audio codec work in macOS.
Your audio should work with one of these layout-id’s 1, 2, 3, 11, 12.
I assume you know how to use/add the layout ID to your config.plist. Adding the boot argument alcid=x, where x=1, 2, 3, 11 or 12 is the easiest method.
