I've always wanted to build a Hackintosh because of two reasons: the price of regular Mac desktops and my fascination of tinkering with electronics. After messing around with an old computer a friend gave me, I managed to hackintosh it, but because of its age, many problems arose such as random freezes or audio loss. After that I decided to get the proper parts to build a fully functional machine that ran OS X. The Processor and the Motherboard I chose beforehand, the other parts being purely chosen by price from a set of companies I trusted. As always there are some bugs such as random failed boots (which are fixed by a restart), rare freezes, and occasion audio loss after waking up from sleep.
Installation Notes:
In the BIOS, the only option I had to change was the safe boot mode, changing it from Windows to other OS (don't have a picture right now, but will soon). I used the SSD as my boot drive for faster boot times. To get into the installer I had to use -x, but for everything else I just used -v for verbose mode to see if anything went wrong.
MultiBeast Settings
This was one of the simplest parts as this board doesn't need a DSDT so using DSDT free in MultiBeast was almost enough.
