The first byte should still be 0xFF because that is not part of the set of bytes to be replaced. I'm still uneasy about using 0x20. In ASCII it's the space character, but in ACPI machine language it might be an instruction code.You are absolutely correct. An equal amount of FFFFFFFF made the System DSDT throw errors.
