[SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

You are absolutely correct. An equal amount of FFFFFFFF made the System DSDT throw errors.

However an equal of amount 20202020 gave us me the desired result.

So it looks like for OC there are different behaviors?

So for OC

Enable: YES
Find: FF503858 48000A51 5C2E5F47 50455449 4E495442 534500
Replace: 20202020 20202020 20202020 20202020 20202020 202020
TableSignature (DSDT): 44534454
The first byte should still be 0xFF because that is not part of the set of bytes to be replaced. I'm still uneasy about using 0x20. In ASCII it's the space character, but in ACPI machine language it might be an instruction code.

Hello @MACacOsX,

Welcome to the forum -- you may have been here silently, but now you are visible! If you also have an Antelope audio interface, let's hope it can be made to work.

@qthegaijin: Is the Antelope still problematic even with a flashed Alpine Ridge card?
I need to order one. Amazon has deemed it non-essential so all the shipping times say mid to late April arrival.

Interesting. I changed the first byte to FF and it worked. I'm going keep replacing bytes with it until it fails.

Update:

While it still boots quickly, the DSDT is incorrect when changing the first two bytes to 0xFF.

However, with the first byte changed to 0xFF it's fine, so long as the rest is filled out with spaces (0x20).

All 0xFF's after the first byte create a value of one in the DSDT.

Just reporting in that I've successfully updated with SecUpd 2020-002 for Mojave. The update went smoothly and without issue. Standard stuff like progress bar not rendering install status was the same. If you just wait it out, it will eventually restart.

My setup is still running 5103 of Clover and I decided not to update from WEG 1.3.6 to 1.3.7 or from Lilu 1.4.1 to 1.42 until after the update.

See images.

Please back into 10.15.3 and start by checking all of the basic setup / configuration files. Use latest Lilu, WhateverGreen, and AppleALC. If everything is working in 10.15.3, then start the update again to 10.15.4.

Yes, I have updated with Clover Configurator but it is same.

Do you have another solution?

Please edit your Post # 16834 above and remove the build guide from the post.
Hi! I'd like to do that but I don't know how! Sorry

There is no rush to update to 10.15.4. You can safely stay on 10.15.3 until the system is reliable.
